I “Gotz” to Come Clean

Image

I am happy to say that these four lovely and all blonde ladies are now part of the Sasha family here at Sasha Shangri-La.  As Sasha enthusiasts can see, each one is different from the other and they each arrived over the past year. No excuses for my delays.  I just failed to properly introduce them upon their arrival.  Though, I have to say, I have really enjoyed each one very much. So, let us begin with introductions.

This slate eyed beauty has beautiful and luscious hair.  Her name is Holly.

Next is a very special button nose or no nose girl with beautiful ochre eyes.  Her name is Ellie.

This amazing slate eyed girl has a fantastic pout about her.   Her name is Hayley.

Lastly, is a pale faced slate eyed girl that is very feminine even with her contrasting bold brows.  Her name is Emma.

They arrived wearing their original outfits.  I wanted to introduce them as they came before safely storing their clothing and beginning to redress them.  What fun that will be!

Holly is wearing brown cord farm pants and white blouse, white sandals and a green duffle coat.  Ellie and Hayley are both wearing a brown cord dress and brown leather shoes.  Hayley has her original blue threaded wrist tag which dates her as an early production girl.  Emma is wearing a navy and white checked dress with navy leather shoes.  It is always nice to have original outfits for our Sasha dolls.

A couple of close up photos of sweet Emma.

Thank you for visiting with us today as I catch up with the residents of Cow Creek.  My photos were taken indoors due to reoccurring rain storms in recent days with alternating high temperatures. It is better to stay inside for now.  I hope you enjoyed this post and that you have a wonderful day and week to come.

Pretty Waterlogue images to enjoy.

Christine wearing her New Outfit

Image

As promised, I took photos of Christine wearing her new outfit beautifully knitted by Christine Durand.  I love it! ❤️

Her blue and white outfit consists of a dress, jacket, pants, hat and socks. I added a pair of later Gotz leather shoes.

The knitting is amazing and I love the floral detailing.  It fits perfectly. ❤️

Some close up photos.  Tiny buttons!

I moved her hair to the side so you can see the detailing on the back of her jacket.

Matching socks. 😊

A soft, drawstring gathering of the cuffs and also at her waist. ❤️

A photo taken by Christine Durand of the outfit. ❤️

Thank you for visiting with us today and I hope you enjoyed this post of Christine in her new outfit.  We are sending you hugs and happy wishes for the upcoming Christmas holiday. 😊 xxx

Happy Christmas! Please welcome Christine

Image

My Christmas present came early this year with a wonderful impulse purchase of a blue eyed brunette Gotz no-navel girl.  I saw her on the Bazaar and thought she would be a beautiful companion to my only no-navel girl, Hazel, a brown eyed blonde beauty. ❤️

She immediately told me her name is Christine.  I love her wide face and sweet elfin chin.  She came wearing a Gotz brown cord dress set and the generous seller also included a Gotz green dress set. As nice as the original outfits are, I could not wait to redress her.

Christine wearing a beautiful blue floral dress made by Frances Trickett and an amazing Princess Charlotte patterned cardigan knitted by Linda Simpson. Her leather shoes are a Sashapotamus find.  ❤️

Christine up close. ❤️

Christine enjoyed her time outdoors here on Cow Creek. 😊

A very sweet little girl.

Her hair is beautiful, so soft and silky plus it is long and thick. The Gotz factory worker really rooted her well. After adopting Christine, I ordered a very special dress set made especially for her by the talented Christine Durand.  I will post photos soon of Christine wearing her new outfit soon. ❤️

Christine and I thank you for visiting with us today. We are sending you hugs and happy holiday wishes.  We hope you have a great day and week to come. 😊 xxx

A New Girl Arrives at Sasha Shangri-La ❤

Image

img_1285

Some of you may have seen this rare girl on Shelly’s site and you may have wondered where she went after leaving Sasha Doll UK.  She is a Gotz girl but with her eye painting by Sasha Morgenthaler herself.  I immediately fell in love with her. ❤

img_1287

The first three photos of this post were taken by Shelly. 😊

img_1286

I love Sasha’s studio doll paintings and this girl was no exception.  She is a very special, miniature studio-like doll. ❤

img_1284

After she arrived, I immediately took photos of her on this coral colored blanket. ❤

img_1283

My hands were shaking while taking the first photos. Such anticipation! 😊

img_1282

I think I was in shock with excitement for quite a while after she arrived. Thank goodness that I did hear her whisper that her name is Morgen. ❤

img_1302

Next I took a few photos of Morgen in her original brown cord dress with brown leather shoes. ❤

img_1304

❤ Hello Morgen ❤

img_1305

Welcome to Sasha Shangri-La dear one. ❤

img_1306

❤ Morgen ❤

img_1289

Next, I gave her back her ponytail to see how it would look.  Morgen loved playing in the doll room. 😊

img_1290

She has the little curl at the base of her neck. Plus the nice side wings.

img_1291

I really like her ponytail. 😊

img_1308

Then, I dressed Morgen in a studio style dress by Dolliepatch.  I think she looks very pretty in this outfit.

img_1309

I hope you enjoyed meeting Morgen today.  Thank you for visiting with us. ❤

img_1375

I styled Morgen’s hair back into her ponytail and then she joined her sisters Gracie, Joanie, and Gwennie.  They love to share stories of when they came alive as they were painted by Sasha Morgenthaler in Switzerland long ago.  Wouldn’t it have been wonderful to have been there to see the dolls come to life in her extraordinarily, talented hands? ❤

A waterlogue image to enjoy.  Morgen and I wish you a very happy and healthy week to come. 😊 xxx

Please Welcome Cathy to Sasha Shangri-La

Image

LissAnnPlease meet a new member of the Sasha family here at Sasha Shangri-La. I adopted this dear girl from the lovely Cathy Himmel.  Cathy sent me this nice photo just before the doll was mailed.  She brought with her a sweet present. 🙂

Upon arrival, we opened the present together to find this wonderful book on friendship. We love books and reading here on Cow Creek. The cover image is perhaps a bit of foreshadowing and a happy hint of what is to come to the newly adopted girl. 🙂

The yarn ribbons tying up the gifted book were so lovely that we placed them in the dear girl’s hair.  Little Dawn came out to greet her new sister. 🙂

20160423_163245
“Hi” said Little Dawn. “My name is Little Dawn, welcome sweet sister!”

20160423_163318
Little Dawn reached out with a kind heart to her sister. ❤

20160423_163327
“I have a soft dinosaur for you to hug. I hope you like it. What is your name?”

20160423_163416
“Oh thank you Little Dawn, I love it very much. How thoughtful of you to greet me with a present. My name is Cathy.”

20160423_163422
Little Dawn reflecting for a moment on her inner joy of meeting her new sister, Cathy.

20160423_163428
Cathy is a very early 1965 Gotz girl with no mold line on her torso and wonderful, hand painted golden eyes with lashes. I love her facial expression. ❤

20160423_163521
The cute pair of sisters loved each other immediately. ❤

20160423_163606
Cathy’s hair is nice and full and silky. She has nice fringe too but I swept it back temporarily when I put the ribbons in her hair.

20160423_163615
Cathy came in this lovely outfit and I think it was made by Vintage Sasha. 🙂

20160423_163506
A close up photo of Cathy. I have to say she is so very pretty and she looks very different from her sister Rae, another 1965 redheaded Gotz girl living here on the farm. Rae is taller and I believe she has a larger head than Cathy.  Cathy is much more petite. I will do a post of the redheaded early Gotz girls and look more closely at their differences and their similarities but probably after the trip to England. 🙂

20160423_163722
Little Dawn and Cathy, now the closest of friends, want to thank you for visiting with us today. They are sending you hugs and happy wishes for the week to come. 🙂

20160423_163732
Sisterly bonds that will stand the test of time. ❤
