I “Gotz” to Come Clean

I am happy to say that these four lovely and all blonde ladies are now part of the Sasha family here at Sasha Shangri-La.  As Sasha enthusiasts can see, each one is different from the other and they each arrived over the past year. No excuses for my delays.  I just failed to properly introduce them upon their arrival.  Though, I have to say, I have really enjoyed each one very much. So, let us begin with introductions.

This slate eyed beauty has beautiful and luscious hair.  Her name is Holly.

Next is a very special button nose or no nose girl with beautiful ochre eyes.  Her name is Ellie.

This amazing slate eyed girl has a fantastic pout about her.   Her name is Hayley.

Lastly, is a pale faced slate eyed girl that is very feminine even with her contrasting bold brows.  Her name is Emma.

They arrived wearing their original outfits.  I wanted to introduce them as they came before safely storing their clothing and beginning to redress them.  What fun that will be!

Holly is wearing brown cord farm pants and white blouse, white sandals and a green duffle coat.  Ellie and Hayley are both wearing a brown cord dress and brown leather shoes.  Hayley has her original blue threaded wrist tag which dates her as an early production girl.  Emma is wearing a navy and white checked dress with navy leather shoes.  It is always nice to have original outfits for our Sasha dolls.

Thank you for visiting with us today as I catch up with the residents of Cow Creek.  My photos were taken indoors due to reoccurring rain storms in recent days with alternating high temperatures. It is better to stay inside for now.  I hope you enjoyed this post and that you have a wonderful day and week to come.

Pretty Waterlogue images to enjoy.

  1. Thank you for introducing your Gotz girls, Ginger. They are very pretty mountain lasses! It’s so nice to see them in their original outfits before they get dressed up.

  2. Wonderful additions to Shangri La and yes, very different from each other. I love that they all came in their original outfits, I think Holly especially is super duper.

  3. A fab. start to my day with these delightful and charming Gotz girls. YOU know just how much I love their extra special and such individual facial expressions! No company imo did it better so I was naturally extremely disappointed with their later 1990s Sasha versions. I’m surprised that nobody in the actual company complained knowing what beautiful eyepainting had gone on before.

I also love the quality and styles of the early Gotz clothing and was most impressed with their replications (well apart from one or two!) of Sasha’s studio doll clothing in their second serie doll issue.
Many thanks, you beautiful girls, for your good week’s wishes and to your mummy for this much appreciated blogpost.

    • Thank you Kendal for the lovely comments. I do know how much you love these dolls and I remember when I first started collecting Sasha dolls seeing your blog posts and photos of your fabulous Gotz dolls. Some of my favorites were your waifs of course with great wigs and beautiful outfits. From their hair bows to their shoes, they were inspiring!

The second Gotz production of dolls did fail to capture the beautiful unique eye paintings IMO but they did improve their rooting with gorgeous, thick and shiny hair plus producing very nice outfits. I really like a few of the later production dolls and we finally got our toddlers! ❤️ xxx

  4. I always enjoy your blogs so much, and what a wonderful collection you have of the most beautiful Sashas. I have only just bought my first Gotz – from Shelly’s site- , but these 4 are absolutely fabulous; Emma is my favourite, followed closely by Hayley. Thank you for sharing them with us

    • Hi Liz! It is so nice to hear from you and I am glad you enjoyed the post. Thank you for the lovely comments. It is wonderful that you have bought your first Gotz doll. I must warn you that they are habit forming just like our other Sasha dolls and you soon may have several of these Gotz beauties. But it happens to be a wonderful habit that I highly recommend to others. Collecting Sashas has been a delightful way to meet very nice people in very nice places in our world. ❤️ xxx

  5. What a gorgeous set of girls Ginger. I particularly love Hayley’s eyes and pout and of course a button nosed lass is always a favourite.
I would say you had a wonderful Gotz year so far….
Thanks for sharing these beauties with us, a lovely foursome to join the Cow Creek Crew 🙂 xxxx

    • Thanks Dee! Yes, a most wonderful Gotz year here at Sasha Shangri-La. I am so glad to introduce them so they can start “living” here on the farm in different outfits and outdoors hopefully soon. ❤️ xxx

  6. Gosh Ginger! How wonderful to see these four early Gotz girls. It’s amazing to see them side my side to get a really good look at their individuality. My favorite is Emma with her light skin and very dark brows, but they are all so lovely. Also love the waterlogue photos too!

    • Hi Cathy! Thank you for the nice comments. Emma is really lovely and one of the nicer pale faced girls that I have seen. I am glad you liked seeing the photos side by side. It is fun to compare and contrast these wonderful dolls. ❤️ xxx

  7. What beautiful new girls Ginger, and as you say, all so very different to each other. I do like the pale girl’s colouring, but I particularly like the first girl, Holly, in her duffle coat and her lovely thick hair. I have always liked the slate eyes girls very much.
Thank you for sharing them and their differences with us.
    xxx

    • Thank you Sharon. Holly seems to be the favorite of most people with Emma, the pale girl, in second place. I am so glad these dolls are all unique in their looks and they are just fun to collect and really fun to dress. ❤️ xxx
