Last week I asked for friends to suggest names for the newest boy here at Sasha Shangri-La.  This shy boy is a redheaded 1967 NP shorts boy. We received many excellent name suggestions and we want to thank each of you for taking the time to write to us to share names.  We thought about each one over the weekend and Finn took the lead to help narrow down the names to two possible choices. He reviewed each name with his new brother and asked him what name he liked best.

Finn says the two finalist names are Bryn and Harry (William was third).  Again, many thanks to you all that helped us so much with great suggestions.

Finn is wearing a Diane Duke sweater, britches by luvzone7 on eBay, knitted socks maker unknown, and wonderful leather saddle oxfords made by Betty Jean Densford. Fetch is staying close to Finn as always.

Finn will now make the name announcement.  Drum roll please ……..

“My new brother’s name is Bryn!  I hope you love Bryn as I do.”

The 1967 boys club are gathered around to play with Bryn and to give him a puppy to keep him company and ensure that he feels part of the family. Bryn loves his new puppy.  The boys from left to right are Bronson, Bryn, Finn, and Ferris. ❤️

Ferris is wearing a knitted sweater, maker unknown and Ruthsdolls denim dungarees.

Ferris likes his comfortable outfit and boots by Lisa Hartley.  He is staying warm today since it is pretty chilly at 38 degrees at noon time.

A most handsome boy.  Ferris says hello to you. ❤️

Bronson also says hello to you!

Bronson is wearing a sweater by Rosie Laird, a Dollydoodles gillet, jeans by Sashapotamus and red leather boots by Jean Jensen.

Bronson is happy to have a new brother!  He and Brynn are best buddies already!

Bryn is wearing his Diane Duke  sweater, Dollydoodles jeans, and Noreen Walters made leather boots.  He looks right at home with his puppy in tow.

Bryn thanks you for visiting with us today. We wish you a very happy day and wonderful week to come. ❤️ xxx

Bryn sends hugs to you!

1966…1967…1968… Farm Pants Girls Unite on the Farm this Fall

Image

This lovely 1966 English production non-philtrum (NP) blonde girl came to live here this past June.  Her name is Meredith and she came in her original box, outfit and tag.  She belonged to Noreen and now is a most welcome resident of Sasha Shangri-La.

Meredith is very minty and so I am extra careful when I handle her.  She looks sweet among the pumpkins, corn, and gourds,

Meredith has large blue eyes and no eyelashes.  Her hair is very silky.  She wears a mint brown farm pants (also called jeans) outfit with white leather sandals.  Her plain back gold tag is on her right wrist.

Look!  Sara has come to join Meredith.  You may remember Sara in a recent gingham post with her gingham sisters.  Since then we found a brown farm pants outfit for her.

Sarah is very petite and the smallest of the vinyl Sasha children here.  She is a 1967 English production NP girl.

Both girls have their bears to play with and to keep them company.  Meredith is a sweet older sister.

The lovely Meredith up close.

The lovely Sara up close.

Welcome Miss Meredith. We are so happy you are here.

I think Sara looks perfect in her brown farm pants.  She is having a great time outdoors on this pretty day.

Look!  Our little Lou has joined the fun.  She had a hard time leaving her sister Chloe inside but managed to join us anyway.

Lou is so happy to be outdoors and to enjoy the sunshine.  Lou is a 1968 English production fringe girl.  She, too, has a brown farm pants outfit.

Lou brought her bear.  It is nice to see these girls together from three different years.

They each have their own, very individual look mainly due to their wonderful  hand painting.

Farm pants girls are enjoying a Fall day on the farm.

Well, look here!  Another sweet farm pants girl is joining us.  It is Diana, a 1966 ochre eyed German Gotz girl.  We notice her farm pants are shorter in length. Cute!

Diana said she did not want to miss out on being in this post. She has not been on the blog in quite a while and she thinks she fits in perfectly with her brown farm pants, her blonde hair and her birthdate.

Diana brought her puppy and she said her farm pants are faded because she has worked hard here on the farm and the sun has taken its toll.  I think she is very pretty and should be next to her sister Meredith since they were both born in 1966 though in different countries.

My pretty brown farm pants girls all want to thank you for visiting with us today.  They hope you enjoyed your stay.

We are all sending you hugs and happy wishes for the week to come.  Have a Happy Fall!

Beautiful Knits on a Warm Winter’s Day

Image

Our weather has been unseasonably warm and also very rainy. Each day since I have retired has been cloudy and overcast with only very short lived and occasional breaks in the clouds to allow a ray or two of sunshine to cheer us here at Sasha Shangri-La.

Today I jumped up to take outdoor photos when I saw the sunshine, but alas, it had disappeared by the time I grabbed the dolls, the camera and went outside. So I took photos on the front porch and made the best of this non-rainy, limited sunshine, breezy day. 😊

First up is the lovely Sylvia and she is very happy to model her lovely knitted cardigan made by Linda Simpson. I was lucky to snap it up at the Sasha Celebration Weekend last May. Her corduroy slacks are by Sashapotamus and her leather boots are by Ruthsdolls. Sylvia’s ponytail hair style allows you to see her beautiful cardigan. ❤

image

Sylvia is a very early Sasha NP made in 1966 and she has detailed, hand-painted brown eyes with the palest of blue highlights on her lids. ❤

Next is Hannah and she is a graphic eyed NP girl with lovely red hair. She is wearing a wonderful knitted sweater made by Christine Durand. I bought it at the Sasha Festival in Rochester last summer. Her black corduroy trousers are made by an unknown seamstress and her black leather slip on shoes were made by Ruthsdolls.

Hannah particularly likes the sweet sheep crossing her tummy. 😉

image

I arranged her hair to each side so you can see more of the knitted design. 😊

Thank you Hannah. ❤

Last is Jessie and she is a 1967 NP with a nice, longer bobbed hair style. I arranged her hair off of her shoulders to best show her lovely knitted cardigan with adorable ducks and it was made by Rosie Laird.  It has a very nice matching hat and gloves too! The maker of her trousers is unknown.

Her leather boots were made by Ruthsdolls. 😊
