Beautiful Knits on a Warm Winter’s Day

Image

Our weather has been unseasonably warm and also very rainy. Each day since I have retired has been cloudy and overcast with only very short lived and occasional breaks in the clouds to allow a ray or two of sunshine to cheer us here at Sasha Shangri-La.

Today I jumped up to take outdoor photos when I saw the sunshine, but alas, it had disappeared by the time I grabbed the dolls, the camera and went outside. So I took photos on the front porch and made the best of this non-rainy, limited sunshine, breezy day. 😊

First up is the lovely Sylvia and she is very happy to model her lovely knitted cardigan made by Linda Simpson. I was lucky to snap it up at the Sasha Celebration Weekend last May. Her corduroy slacks are by Sashapotamus and her leather boots are by Ruthsdolls. Sylvia’s ponytail hair style allows you to see her beautiful cardigan. ❤

image

Sylvia is a very early Sasha NP made in 1966 and she has detailed, hand-painted brown eyes with the palest of blue highlights on her lids. ❤

A very pretty girl. 🌹

Next is Hannah and she is a graphic eyed NP girl with lovely red hair. She is wearing a wonderful knitted sweater made by Christine Durand. I bought it at the Sasha Festival in Rochester last summer. Her black corduroy trousers are made by an unknown seamstress and her black leather slip on shoes were made by Ruthsdolls.

image

Hannah particularly likes the sweet sheep crossing her tummy. 😉

image

I arranged her hair to each side so you can see more of the knitted design. 😊

image

Thank you Hannah. ❤

image

Last is Jessie and she is a 1967 NP with a nice, longer bobbed hair style. I arranged her hair off of her shoulders to best show her lovely knitted cardigan with adorable ducks and it was made by Rosie Laird.  It has a very nice matching hat and gloves too! The maker of her trousers is unknown.

Her leather boots were made by Ruthsdolls. 😊

Jessie and Lucy Model Two Tricia Jackson Handsewn Outfits

Image

image
You may remember Jessie, a 1967 brunette Sasha NP with a side part, and non-falling hair cut into a sweet bob. I really like the bobbed hair cut on our Sasha dolls.

image

Jessie and I were on the front porch enjoying the beautiful weather. ❤

image

This beautiful outfit with the sailor collar was hand sewn by Tricia Jackson.  I love this outfit and everything about it.  The length is perfect to show the cutest of legs that our wonderful Sasha dolls enjoy.  Her sandals were made by Jean Jensen and I was very fortunate to buy them at the Sasha Festival in Rochester from Ellen Church. ❤

image

Jessie has perked up a bit lately since receiving her new dress and finally getting some attention from Mommy. 😉

image

The sun feels so good on our faces especially since the temperatures were in the 60’s which makes for a perfect day at Sasha Shangri-La. 🙂

image

Jessie basking in the warmth of the day. ❤

image

I realize I have totally missed the summer season by showing this lovely summer dress and sandals in October but I so wanted to share these outfits made by Tricia plus I did not want to wait until 2017.  So I hope you will not mind seeing them now.

image

Next, we have Lucy modeling this two piece outfit made by Tricia.  Her leather sandals were made by Jean Jensen.  This cute top and skirt are both reversible and allow you to mix and match 4 different outfits. 🙂

image

Dear Lucy was a Gregor waif at one time.  She was re-rooted by Emma Flood and her eyes were wonderfully repainted by Cassie Rogers. ❤

image

A peek at the other side of her white eyelet top.  I love the fabrics! ❤

A peek to see the other side of her skirt which is the lovely eyelet plus her matching pants. 🙂

A Happy Holiday Hello

Image

image
Happy Holidays from Ellen a 1966 NP girl wearing a lovely white cord dress made by a Passion for Sasha. 🙂

image
Ellen loves her new dress. She is hoping to see her favorite brother Finn. I think that might happen. 🙂

image
Meanwhile, Finn has been very busy this Christmas. His Secret Santa sent him many lovely gifts this yearl  I suggested to Finn that it was because he has been such a good boy. 🙂

Secret Santa also sent a gift for a sister and Finn chose Jessie.  Jessie, a 1967 NP girl, was so happy to receive a special present. 🙂

image
They both opened their Secret Santa presents and Jessie received a fabulous pair of knitted stripy socks. She was thrilled! 🙂

Finn received wonderful handmade gifts of a green hat, scarf with built-in mittens on each end, socks, a lovely off white sweater and handsome brown cord overalls. 🙂

image
Finn loves his new gifts very much. What a perfect hat and scarf for him! A truly wonderful Christmas gift from Secret Santas Ana and Kira in Indiana.  Thank you very much! 🙂

image
Because Finn received a new Secret Santa sweater and hat, among other gifts, he was a most thoughtful boy and insisted that this new Kaffe Fassett design knitted sweater and hat by Diane Duke, that was meant for him, should now go to Drew instead. Drew is one happy boy and Finn is one generous boy! 🙂

image
I love these sweaters! You might remember that Drew’s newly adopted brunette brothers (Bronson, Brodie, and Nico) all wore their Kaffe Fassett design knitted sets in an earlier post and Drew was the odd man out not having one though he said not a word.  Well, now Drew can join his brothers in a Kaffe line-up one day! 🙂

image
Merry Christmas dear Drew. We can see why you like your new sweater. 🙂

image
Now, back to Finn. Since Finn was such a good brother to Drew, I decided to gift to Finn a new sweater and hat set that just arrived at Sasha Shangri-La. 🙂

image
Ta Da!!  It is a Sesame Street sweater by Rosie Laird and it is such fun for Finn! 🙂

image
Finn’s friend Fetch also loves his sweater. 🙂

image
Fetch, you are most fetching by Finn’s side and next to Cookie Monster! 🙂

image
Lastly, Finn does join Ellen to thank you for visiting with us today. We appreciate your time very much! 🙂

image
Ellen and Finn both wish you a wonderful holiday week leading up to a very Happy New Year’s Day in 2016. 🙂 xxx

A couple of waterlogue images as a holiday gift for you. ❤

Brunettes and Barn

Image

image

A very beautiful, past weekend with warm, sunny days led me to take Jessie and Adeline outdoors for photos.  I used one of the barns as a rustic backdrop to contrast with these fine and lovely girls and their outfits.

Jessie is wearing a new, pretty pink and red Ruthsdolls outfit that I was lucky to find on Shelly’s site.  I added pale pink knitted socks and found red leather shoes made by Ruthsdolls that came with a Christmas outfit.  I borrowed them to go with Jessie’s new outfit. 🙂

image
Adeline, on the right, is wearing a dress made by Maureen Hallenbeck and I had previously shown Adeline in this outfit.  I have not changed it because I do love it on Adeline and she looks so nice next to Jessie and in her new outfit. 🙂

image
Jessie and Adeline are both 1967 NPs from the English Production. I love that they both have their own “look” and also love Jessie’s bobbed hair cut. ❤

image
Sisters having good conversation together. 🙂

image
Jessie holding her favorite white bear that was gifted to her upon her arrival at Sasha Shangri-La by Zoey and Tilly. 🙂

image
Adeline holds her favorite “lovie” toy which is a soft, sock monkey. 🙂

image
Jessie shown alone but somehow, she does not look as sad as perhaps she did when she first came to the farm. 😉

Jessie up close for you to see. ❤

Adeline, my sweet Adeline. ❤

A closer view of Adeline for you to see. 🙂

A last photo of Jessie and Adeline and they are sending you big Sasha hugs and wishing you a most wonderful and beautiful first week of May! 🙂 xxx
