About mountainmullins

Sasha doll collector primarily plus other interesting dolls. I inheirited my love of dolls from my dear Mother and also her collection. My first Sasha doll was Gwennie, a redheaded studio doll. Since Gwennie, I have collected other Sasha dolls and love their individual personalities created by their eye painting, hair color and styling, and dressing them. It is such fun to share with other collectors!

Hello from Finn and Cleo

Image

Note: I hope those who celebrated Mother’s Day yesterday had a wonderful day with their family and friends.  It was simply wonderful here yesterday and I enjoyed being with my family especially after missing a couple of past Mother’s Days due to my travels.  My family gifted me a beautiful garden bench which I will show on the blog once I have it situated under a dogwood tree where I spend time with my thoughts.

This wonderful boy above is a 1967 NP boy and his name is Finn.  Finn is the very best boy and today he is modeling a wonderful outfit handmade by the very talented Sharon Humphreys.

This handsome striped overall and cheery red shirt fit Finn perfectly. I love it!  His pup Fetch likes it too! The red leather sandals were made by Jean Jensen.

Notice the lovely detailing along Finn’s pocket.  Finn is happy to be outdoors though it is nearly 90 degrees Fahrenheit today.

Another pocket and beautiful fabric too.

A perfect length.  Thank you very much Auntie Sharon.

I wanted to take a close up photo of Finn which has always proven to be a challenge for me since Finn is a well loved boy and has a shiny complexion from many Mommy hugs and kisses over the years.  He is very patient though and allows open displays of motherly affection plus he stands still for many photos.

A Waterlogue image of dear Finn.

Another view of Finn. Below are three different Waterlogue images made from this photo. I thought you would enjoy seeing the different interpretations.

Next, please meet Cleo, a sweet toddler who has joined the family here.  She arrived a bit earlier than Mother’s Day but I am claiming her to be a Mother’s Day present.

I redressed her in this dear little floral dress by Ginny.  She is holding her now favorite bear gifted to her upon her arrival.

Cleo is my one and only toddler now and I am happy she is here.

Hello dear Cleo. Welcome to Sasha Shangri-La.

Finn, Fetch, Cleo and I want to thank you for visiting with us today. We hope you enjoyed this post.  We are sending you hugs and happy wishes for a wonderful week to come. xxx

Where in the World am I ?

Image

Where am I?

Who am I?  Oh that’s right……my name is “Tesla”. I have a vague recollection of an electric wall outlet and my baby fork….

I don’t remember this outfit. I don’t remember this puppy either.   Oh my, whose hand is this?

Oh no,  more hands….

Who are these strangers? Should I be afraid?  I don’t think so and…

Something inside my heart and my head says everything will be okay.  There sure are a lot of happy faces here.

Including mine!

Later alligator….

A Hannah Hello

Image

You might remember Hannah a graphic eyed NP with very nice red hair.

Hannah is wearing a beautiful cardigan made by the very talented Diane Duke.  I love the hearts and the colors and it fits Hannah perfectly. ❤

I braided Hannah’s hair first with the braids covering her ears and then I tried braiding her plaits behind her ears.  I thought she looked prettier with her ears showing so I left them laid back and added pink and white checked ribbons.

Hannah up close.

Her shirt and checked trousers are made by unknown sewers. Her fantastic pink leather shoes are made by Noreen.

We took these first few photos in front of a newer shed out behind the house to see how they looked.

The last blog post of Hannah was taken this past Winter and it was so freezing and windy outdoors and honestly, the photos did not show her at her best. Today’s post will hopefully remedy the images from that frigid day.

Hannah on a pretty Spring day. The temperatures today are in the 60’s but the sky is cloudy.  We finally broke free from the rain and snow we were experiencing nearly every day for weeks. The past few days have been glorious!

We moved back to the old shed and used a towel to cover the damp block.

A couple of close up photos of Hannah.

A very sweet girl.  We hope you have enjoyed this post.

Hannah and I both thank you for visiting with us today.

We are sending you hugs and happy wishes for the week to come. 😊 xxx

🌷 Happy Easter 🌷

The newest family member in our Sasha Shangri-La family is the beautiful, repainted and bobbed hair girl named Robin. I adopted Robin from Shelly’s site and contacted EC to confirm that this dear one previously belonged to her. And yes, she had been in her Sasha family and her name is Robin.  Robin was beautifully repainted by Shelly.   She came in this lovely school girl outfit by Ruthsdolls and I added the navy leather JJ shoes.  The bunny was waiting just for Robin and Robin was just in time for Easter. 💐

The lovely Robin. 💐

Sweet bunny with an Easter egg. 💐

Amazing eyes by Shelly. 💐

Welcome to Sasha Shangri-La dear Robin. 💐

So very beautiful.💐

Next…..

This pretty waif girl was an eBay find that had been rerooted in a lovely auburn color and given a bobbed cut.  After arriving here, her eyes were beautifully repainted by Janet Myhill-Dabbs.  Janet added her adorable freckles too. 💐

I found this pretty white and pink dress and a sweet bunny of her own to play with. 💐

Her name is Elizabeth but she is called Betsy. 💐

Betsy’s dusty pink suede shoes were made by Jean Jensen. What a dear little girl. 💐

Beautiful Betsy.  💐

The two girls together at Easter. 💐

I just love beautiful, repainted Sasha dolls.

Robin and Betsy both thank you for visiting with us today.

They are sending you hugs and happy wishes for a blessed Easter and a wonderful week to come.  💐

🌷 Happy Easter 🌷

A few Waterlogue images to enjoy. 💐

Happy Mothering Day

Image

Happy Mothering Day from Lance, and all of us here at Sasha Shangri-La, to all the Mothers in the UK and all other lands.

We think that Mothers, Mums, and Moms, and the Mother equivalent in all languages, plus all of the Grands, are very special people.

Lance added that without our Moms, we would not be here. So a big thank you to all the wonderful Mothers out there for bringing us into the world.

Lance and I also wanted to send a loving thank you to our wonderful Moms that are no longer here with us. We love and miss you Mom.

Thank you for visiting.  Have a blessed day and week to come. xxx
