Doll Creations by Janet Myhill-Dabbs….Let’s Begin with Gertie

I hope you will enjoy this extra-long post that will show all the dolls that were made by Janet Myhill-Dabbs that live here at Sasha Shangri-La. This post is to show Janet’s doll creations and their outfits. ❤️

First up is Gertie a previous Pintucks girl repainted by Janet. I love Gertie. ❤️

Janet dyed Gertie’s pintucks wig and made this outfit just for her. ❤️

Lizzy’s dress was found on Shelly’s site. Her tights are from Sashapotamus and her leather shoes were made by Marti Murphy. ❤️

Meg, a recent toddle creation by Janet. Meg was a baby but now is able to stand. I love the outfit Janet made for her. ❤️

I had to show Meg’s bloomers. They are fantastic and Meg feels very confident with her super bloomers hidden below her skirt. 😊

Next is Gus. Janet painted Gus and his hair was originally red. Janet made his fantastic outfit to include his hat and shoes. ❤️

This is Heidi. Janet gave her beautiful turquoise eyes. 😊

Heidi is wearing a white cord dress by A Passion for Sasha, a pinafore by Ruthsdolls and leather shoes by Jean Jensen. ❤️

This is Dane, a Harlequin, created by Janet and inspired by a studio Harlequin. Dane’s head is larger than the vinyl dolls and is the size of a course doll head mold. Janet used pencils I think to create his amazing expression. He has long and lanky cloth limbs. His wig is mohair and perfect for him. He is holding a prized Liberty apple pin cushion. ❤️

Janet also creates felt dolls called poppets. This is the lovely Holly created around the Christmas season. ❤️

This little fussy poppet is a grumpy girl named Shee-Ta. She is pouty most of the time. 😉

This is the 1900 Baby. She was rerooted and repainted by Janet. She wears a beautiful gown and leather shoes. Her bonnet is her crowning glory. 😊

Sasha Shangri-La New Arrivals

Hi everyone! I am new and a little bit scared. This sweet puppy found me and I feel better now!

My Mommy gave me to her friend Auntie Dawn Law at the Sasha Festival in Rochester. Dawn kindly offered to work with my hair and give me these wonderful curls. After Dawn was finished, I came back to the States and now I am back home with Mommy. I missed her so much! ❤️But I love my new curls very much!

I love you Mommy! ❤️ My name is Baby Don Don. I am an earlier Trendon baby with molded lids.

Mommy brought me outdoors. My wonderful knitted outfit was gifted to me by Auntie Dawn. Thank you so very much!

It sure is lonely out here and cold too. I am glad I am dressed warmly. 🙂

Oh my, look, look! I have a big sister now and she just arrived here at Sasha Shangri-La. She is patting my head of curls. 🙂

Hello everyone! My name is Star and I am new to the Lost Horizon Farm here on Cow Creek. I came from Shelly’s site before my adoption. I have long fringe that was rerooted by Michael O’Brien and my overalls were made by Jackie Hyatt and my red leather shoes were made by Ruthsdolls. When I arrived, Mommy gave me this nice red leather satchel found on Etsy in the Sashapotamus shop. I love the color red! ❤

I am a 1960’s Gotz girl and I like to play outdoors but I also like to play with dolls and have tea parties. 🙂

I am so happy to be here at Sasha Shangri-La. Mommy named me Star. 🙂

Mommy took a lot of photos of me to share with you. It makes me feel very special, kind of like a movie star. ❤

Hello there! My name is Fritz and I am new to Sasha Shangri-La too! 🙂

Mommy spotted me on a photo posted by Dee on the Sasha Village blog. I was at the Chat n Snap on Brenda Walton’s table and looking for a Mommy. Mommy said it was “love at first sight”. ❤

When I arrive here, my Mommy gave me a big hug and said that I smelled just so wonderful, like a brand new doll would smell from the factory! She told me that she did not have a Sasha doll as a child and so, since I smell like a brand new Sasha doll, I will hold a very special place in her heart. ❤

Mommy also told me that my DIY outfit was made by Sara Doggart, that I was born in 1980 and that I had been on display at the Nuremberg Toy Fair long ago and not played with but stayed with Brenda. 🙂

Mommy told me that I have a lot of brothers to meet and I am ready for some fun! She gave me another big hug! I think I am going to like it here! ❤

It is boy’s day today and we are beginning with a sweet shorts boy, Quinn. He is wearing a beautiful sweater and matching hat knitted by Diane Duke. All the knitted wear shown today on the boys was made by Diane. ❤️

This is a 1970’s brunette boy named Mike. ❤️

Mike’s puppy ran away while I was taking photos but we found him later in the day. 😉 Mike is wearing burgundy corduroy trousers and purple leather boots by Ruthsdolls.

This is dear Duncan a 1970’s brunette boy with blue eyes. Duncan came from the factory with his rare eye color. ❤️

A Quiet Welcome for Dear Edith

A quiet trip to the post office to retrieve a box sent from the UK. It was posted on Monday and arrived on Thursday of the same week. Wonderful postal services!

Out of the box quickly and my heart was beating fast. A lovely Sasha studio girl and she told me immediately that her name is Edith. ❤

I added a white pinafore, socks and leather shoes and some unmentionables too. Last, I placed a vintage, pink silk ribbon in her hair. Edith is a delight. ❤

My dear husband took these photos of me with Edith. I think he could tell how very happy I was to be holding Edith. His grandmother was also named Edith. 🙂
