Baby Pixie

Hi! My name is Baby Pixie and I am very happy to meet you! 🙂

I have been put away for a long time and Mommy said it was about time to show me, Baby Pixie, on the Sasha Shangri-La blog. Mommy says that I am a very early Trendon baby with molded eyelids and she also said that I have a quirky eyebrow too. I am not certain what all of this means but Mommy said I should add this to my Baby Pixie post. ❤

It is so nice to be outdoors and see the sunshine, feel the clean air, and hear the pretty birds. Being here is so very special, I am thankful to be alive today. 😉

I am blessed to have many big sisters and brothers but I am closest to my sisters Faith and Audrey. ❤

This is my sister Faith and I love her very much. She is a 1968 Trendon fringe girl. ❤

Oh my, it is so soft and the scent is so fragrant and is that of Faith’s, lily of the valley. 🙂

This is my very dear sister, Audrey. Audrey is a 1968 girl too but she has a lot of fringe and a very special wide face that I just adore. ❤

Audrey’s outfit was made by Ruthsdolls. Mommy also said it was okay to share a few photos of sweet Audrey. 🙂

Audrey sings to me each night at bedtime. Her voice is so soothing and lyrical. I dream of angels and beautiful things after Audrey tucks me into bed and I fall asleep. ❤

I, Baby Pixie, am here safely sitting between my best friends and sisters, Audrey and Faith. ❤

Both of them are encouraging me to take my first baby steps and walk one day! 😉

I am so very happy to be outdoors and holding my sister’s hands. 🙂

Simon Says……

A very early Caleb has found his way to Sasha Shangri-La. His name is Simon. Simon says “get ready to travel”. 🙂

I was struck by this ebay photo of Simon and could not resist a buy-it-now to adopt him. Simon says “sit and pose for the camera” 😉

However, this photo of Simon is what prompted my hand to click the ebay buy-it-now button with much haste! Considering his handsome profile and early original outfit, that was all good but I saw something else in this dear boy’s expression that I had not seen before…. Simon says……… “SMILE” 🙂

Simon was anxious to go outdoors. So we put away his original outfit for safe keeping and found jeans and a t-shirt for him to wear. His outfit is from Sashapotamus. His blue leather sandals were made by Jean Jensen. Simon says “I love my outfit”. 🙂

I began to wonder if I would ever see Simon smile again. Simon says “where am I”? 😉

Finally Simon found a chair to help him rest a bit and reflect on his new surroundings. Simon says “I am happy here”. 🙂

I think Simon will be happy here at Sasha Shangri-La. We are very happy he is here with us! I also think I am beginning to see a change in his expression! Simon says…….”SMILE”. 🙂

Yes, there it is!!!! That delightful and charming smile at last! Simon says “come and smile with me, the best is yet to be”. 🙂

We will keep a watchful eye on our sweet Simon and share his dear emotions with you. Simon and I both hope that this post has brought a smile to your face! Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

Please meet Lizzy, Gertie’s Sister

Some of you may have seen this lovely photo taken by Janet Myhill Dabbs and posted on facebook. Janet hand painted this lovely girl and gave her a new life! She had previously been a Pintucks girls with a bobbed wig and overall needing a lot of help. Janet gave her a spa treatment, a new pintucks wig dyed to this delicious new chestnut color, restrung her, and created the gorgeous outfit you see her wearing in the photo. This new girl’s name is Lizzy. ❤

Gertie was so excited about meeting her new sister Lizzy. Gertie was looking and relooking at her photos and especially this photo of Lizzy taken with her twin, Edith. ❤

So, a week or so later, Lizzy arrived at Sasha Shangri-La and this photo is the first photo taken of Lizzy with Gertie. 🙂

Gertie and Lizzy together. I braided Lizzy’s hair because I love braids so very much. Braids remind me of when I was a little girl and they also remind me of my Mom who wore braids most of her childhood. Her braids were captured in many old photos that I now treasure dearly. ❤

Gertie brought her dear ragbaby, a gift from Edith and Janet, to share with Lizzy and help her to feel at home. 🙂

Gertie was so happy to receive this handmade sling shot and bag with ammunition! Gertie wants to practice her accuracy on Dad’s firing range one day soon. 😉

A delightful and thoughtful gift from Edith and so very special with a forked twig from Gertie’s homeland in the UK. Thank you so very much Edith and Mommy Janet too! 🙂

Golden Girls……Ga Ga for Gotz

These are the earlier, golden eyed Gotz girls that live here at Sasha Shangri-La. ❤

This sweet girl has been introduced before and her name is Diana. She is dressed in a Ruthsdolls outfit with an added bolero. 🙂

Next is the confident Amber and she has also been introduced before. She is wearing a dress made by Frances Tricket. 🙂

You may remember this lovely girl named Mae. Her dress was made by Jadzia. 🙂

The lone brunette is the beautiful Briana and she is wearing a new dress by Molly and leather sandals by Paula of 4-Angels. Oh how I love those brows! ❤

This very beautiful and early redheaded girl has a no mold line torso which makes her my earliest Gotz girl. Her name is Rae and she is newly adopted. Her dress was made by Hagnolly and her t-shirt was bought from Sashapotamus. Her checked fabric shoes were made by Ruthsdolls. ❤

This lovely and very early girl also has a no mold line torso. Her dress has a tiny tag that informs “Made in France”. Her rose colored soft leather shoes were from Sashapotamus. Her name is Annie and she is also newly adopted. ❤

The redheaded girls look very different from one another and that is easy to see when you put them beside each other. Amber is a 1966 girl with a small head and Rae is a 1965 girl with a large head. I really love the hand painting of the eyes and brows on the 60’s Gotz dolls. Each girl is very unique in appearance and personality too. 😉

The blonde golden girls Diana, Mae and Annie. They are also very different from one another in appearance. Annie is the earliest girl and was made in 1965. 🙂

Abby and Gertie in new dresses

This is Abby, an early Sasha studio doll with a cloth face and yarn braids. She has a type A body and a facemask I, and so she is an AI studio doll. Abby’s limbs were replaced by Trudi Loffler and I have her original worn limbs stored away. I love this beautiful girl. ❤

Abby’s sweet face was painted by Sasha herself and most of us that love Sasha studio dolls can see her hand there—I love Abby’s face. ❤

Abby is wearing a new dress made by the Kathe Kruse factory. Her nice leather, navy sandals were made by Thu Cuc Faes. I think she looks lovely in blue. 🙂

The outfit came in this useful garment bag with labeled wooden hanger and a cute shoulder bag that I forgot to take out. It is nice to know that this size of a Kathe Kruse dress (45-48 cm) will fit a Sasha studio doll or a course doll. 🙂

Next is dear little Gertie wearing a new summer frock. 🙂

Gertie is wearing a dainty white eyelet blouse with a round collar and puffy sleeves. The blouse came with another outfit and I like it teamed with this pale blue and pink summer dress with pink flowers vining down both sides. Both pieces are untagged and are from Shelly’s site. 🙂

Gertie loves her ragbaby gifted to her by her twin sister Edith and Edith’s Mommy, Janet. Her white leather sandals were made by Jean Jensen. ❤

Not the best of light but I tried to show Gertie with one of the few remaining lilies. The resident deer population continues to pluck up the lillies during the night and eat them so we are usually left with just the stems. I imagine that they taste sweet and are maybe a dessert for them. 🙂
