🌷 Happy Easter 🌷

Image

The newest family member in our Sasha Shangri-La family is the beautiful, repainted and bobbed hair girl named Robin. I adopted Robin from Shelly’s site and contacted EC to confirm that this dear one previously belonged to her. And yes, she had been in her Sasha family and her name is Robin.  Robin was beautifully repainted by Shelly.   She came in this lovely school girl outfit by Ruthsdolls and I added the navy leather JJ shoes.  The bunny was waiting just for Robin and Robin was just in time for Easter. 💐

The lovely Robin. 💐

Sweet bunny with an Easter egg. 💐

Amazing eyes by Shelly. 💐

Welcome to Sasha Shangri-La dear Robin. 💐

So very beautiful.💐

Next…..

This pretty waif girl was an eBay find that had been rerooted in a lovely auburn color and given a bobbed cut.  After arriving here, her eyes were beautifully repainted by Janet Myhill-Dabbs.  Janet added her adorable freckles too. 💐

I found this pretty white and pink dress and a sweet bunny of her own to play with. 💐

Her name is Elizabeth but she is called Betsy. 💐

Betsy’s dusty pink suede shoes were made by Jean Jensen. What a dear little girl. 💐

Beautiful Betsy.  💐

The two girls together at Easter. 💐

I just love beautiful, repainted Sasha dolls.

Robin and Betsy both thank you for visiting with us today.

They are sending you hugs and happy wishes for a blessed Easter and a wonderful week to come.  💐

🌷 Happy Easter 🌷

A few Waterlogue images to enjoy. 💐

Happy Mothering Day

Image

Happy Mothering Day from Lance, and all of us here at Sasha Shangri-La, to all the Mothers in the UK and all other lands.

We think that Mothers, Mums, and Moms, and the Mother equivalent in all languages, plus all of the Grands, are very special people.

Lance added that without our Moms, we would not be here. So a big thank you to all the wonderful Mothers out there for bringing us into the world.

Lance and I also wanted to send a loving thank you to our wonderful Moms that are no longer here with us. We love and miss you Mom.

Thank you for visiting.  Have a blessed day and week to come. xxx

A Studio Rendition – Gypsy Before and After

Image

A couple of years ago when Janet Myhill-Dabbs let me know this beauty was up for adoption, I could not adopt this beautiful girl quickly enough.  When Janet visited last Fall, she offered to enhance her eye painting to be more in keeping with the original studio doll and less of the previous owner’s request. I was happy to see how her new eyes might look though I liked her eyes before and everything about her.  The first two outdoor photos were taken when she first arrived and are on the blog. 😊

The beautiful Gypsy before….and….

The stunning Gypsy after. ❤

Do you like her new eyes?  Here are a couple of close up photos of her eyes before and after.

“Before eyes”   I like these eyes very much but….

“After eyes”. I just love the new eyes.  Gypsy is a most beautiful rendition.  Thank you Janet. ❤

Which eyes do you like best? I would love to hear from you all out in Sasha land. 😊 xxx

p.s. the photo below is of the gorgeous, original studio doll. How amazing she is!!! ❤

Baby Bramble finds Sasha Shangri-La

Image

Oh my, look at what I found playing amongst the daffodils. This year’s first blooms and Sasha Shangri-La’s first baby adoption in 2018. ❤

Baby Bramble is an earlier Trendon waif that has been wonderfully re-rooted and repainted by Chris Meatyard. She is so precious and her hair is the softest baby hair with a few wisps of baby fine hair framing her hairline.

Hello Baby Bramble we are thrilled to have you here on Cow Creek.  Chris also made this wonderful outfit using a vintage Liberty Tana Lawn fabric and adding an adorable felt jacket with matching shoes. It is perfect for her. ❤

A sweet teddy bear for Baby Bramble who we will lovingly call B.B.  She is adorable. ❤

Hello BB.  It is a beautiful day here today though still not very warm with temperatures in the 40’s.  I love the sunshine and so do the flowers. Life is stirring!  🌞

Look B.B. there is someone here that wants to welcome you….

It is Gertie!  Gertie just loves babies and she is so happy to meet you. 😊

Welcome little B.B. You will love living here on Cow Creek. My name is Gertie. I am your big sister.  ❤

B.B. immediately snuggles in close to Gertie. Sisters forever. ❤

B.B. looks very happy.  She is very loved. ❤

A few close up photos of B.B.

A gorgeous baby girl. ❤

Sugar and spice and …

…Everything nice ❤

B.B. and I want to thank you for visiting with us today.  We are sending you hugs and happy wishes for the weekend and week to come. 😊 xxx

p.s. A couple of Waterlogue images for you to see.

Please meet Suzanne

This lovely B-II Sasha studio doll is named Suzanne. Suzanne recently arrived and I am thrilled to have her here at Sasha Shangri-La. ❤

Suzanne’s gingham outfit is original to her. 😊

Hidden behind her pinafore is beautiful smocking.

Smocking also on the back of her dress.

Her Sasha label along the back hemline. I turned the hem up to take the photo which is why you see the smocking.

Turning back the clock to last October, I first met Suzanne at Dorisanne ‘s lovely home when Janet and I paid a visit. You might remember that I adopted Bertie Karli from Dorisanne at that time. Bertie is a molded head boy that captured my heart. I brought Bertie home then but Dorisanne kindly accepted a layaway for Suzanne. This photo shows us together admiring the dolls. It was such a happy visit. ❤

Suzanne has a nice mohair bear friend to keep her company.

Suzanne is in excellent condition. She was made in the early 1950’s. We are both 1950’s girls. 😉

What s pretty girl.  Her smocking is shown on page 82 of the Sasha Clothing and Patterns book.  See below.

A wonderful book authored by Ann Chandler, Susanna Lewis, and Anne Votaw. 😊

Suzanne ❤

I took a couple of close-up photos to show her eye painting.

Suzanne and I thank you for visiting with us today. We hope you enjoyed this post.  We wish you a blessed week to come. 😊 xxx
