2016 Sasha Festival Auction Items

Image

I will try to catch up on the lovely Festival events.  There were 82 auction items plus nine more added at the end.  Most of the dolls in the photos were models only. However, items # 16, 23, 33, 43, 51, 61, 69, 76, and 82 included the dolls and everything you see. I apologize for any gaps in the lineup as I took my photos early on. Plus the items added at the end were after I took the photos.  The generosity of our lovely Sasha friends is just wonderful and what a special group of people.  A lot of money was raised for the children’s charity!   I had a wonderful time. 🙂

The next post will be raffle items and Janet’s display of her amazing Sasha Studio doll renditions. ❤️

Hi from Rochester!

image

Hi it’s me Gracie!  I am having such a great time! Here in Mummy’s room, it is nice to see everyone visiting. 😊

My sister Fara, a 1968 fringe girl. 😊

There were wonderful displays available for photo opportunities.  I am sitting with my cousins from England.    The sweetie on the left belongs to Auntie Janet and the sweetie girl on the right belongs to Auntie Tricia. ❤️

Mommy only took this scene and was called away to visit with wonderful Sasha friends. 😊

Yippee Yippee……It’s Me…..Gracie

Image

image

Hi everyone, it’s me Gracie!!!  I am whispering to you because Mummy is in the next room and I don’t want her to hear me talking on the blog but I think something is up here at Sasha Shangri-La!

image

Mummy just redressed me in my pretty turquoise outfit made by Thu Cuc Faes.  Plus she put this suitcase on the bed and that means she is going somewhere!!! 😊

image

Plus Mummy has been talking a lot about the Sasha Festival to be held in Rochester, New York sometime very soon. 😊

image

So…..I am thinking that there is a good chance that I might get to go with Mummy to the Festival!!!  I think I can fit nicely in this side pocket of her case…..she would not see me! 😊

image

Or maybe I should slide in this zipper pouch and hide away….image

Oh jeepers….Mummy is coming back in the room….I want to be a very good girl for Mummy. Maybe she will take me with her. Oh I hope so! 😊

imageHi Mummy!  I love you so much and in my heart of hearts, I want to go with you to Rochester and to be able to be with you and to see everyone at the Festival.  Oh please Mummy, pretty, pretty please with whip cream and a candy heart on top and all just for you!  I love you so much! ❤️

image

Guess what everybody?  My sweet Mummy said I can go to the Festival in Rochester and I will meet so many nice people.  I am so happy and my heart feels bigger than I am!!!! ❤️

imageThank you all for visiting today with me, Gracie, and I am waving bye bye and sending you all big hugs and kisses!  Plus I wish you all a very happy weekend and week to come.  I hope to see you inRochester and if not, maybe I will sneak a few blog posts to you, my blog friends that are not coming this time.  Mummy cannot watch the blog all of the time.  I am sure she will not mind at all. 😉

Sending much love, Gracie ❤️ xxx

Heaven in England – Part 7 (last of the holiday posts)

Image

Note: I am barely able to get in my final post of the trip to England before leaving for Rochester but here it is!

image

A lovely view from Tricia’s window. The day after the Paris trip, we spent a delightful morning at home. ❤

image

We had time to play dolls! 🙂

image

I was up pretty early that morning and the light was dim for photos.  It was so nice to have some leisure time.  Finn looks very tired but Janet, the brunette NP purchased at the SCW, and sweet Mary, a Sasha course doll, were both very perky and ready to play. 🙂

image

We went that afternoon to visit the fabulous Great Foster’s for afternoon tea. It is located on Stroude Road, Egham, Surrey. So very, very nice! ❤

I did not take photos of the delicious sandwiches and sweet treats and the fabulous tea that Tricia and I enjoyed but I did take photos of the beautiful grounds surrounding the area. ❤

image

So very beautiful. 🙂

image

image

Very peaceful and it is a serene experience to walk in the garden area and observe all of the beauty.  A wonderful exercise to do after eating so very well. ❤

I understand the Charlie Chaplain once lived in this magnificent estate.

image

Lovely gardens. ❤

These sculptures seem to say “quack quack” to me! 😉

On Wednesday, May 18th, we took a train into London.  We were meeting Ann Chandler later that day and so we decided to go early and shop!  We went to several stores to include Liberty of London! 🙂

image

A very grand store.  I loved everything in it. ❤

image

Tricia and I enjoyed tea and a cheese board. 🙂

image

Beautiful architecture. 🙂

image

Later that day, at the train station, while waiting on Ann to arrive, Tricia and I observed Platform 9 3/4 that is well known in the Harry Potter books.  It was fun to watch the children have their photos taken. 🙂

image

A great time!  After Ann arrived, we return to Tricia’s house and had a wonderful home cooked dinner.  Tricia is an excellent cook!

The flight leaving Heathrow Airport, and flying to the States, left very early the next morning on May 19th.  I was sad to leave my friends and sad to leave the beautiful country of England.  I loved my time spent there and will always treasure it in my heart.

For those of you that have followed the blog, you know that this was my first trip to England and that I had the very best of times during my time in your beautiful country.  Thanks to everyone for your lovely comments and it was so wonderful to finally meet many of you in person during this time.  You made it a perfect holiday. ❤

imageI flew from London to Boston and flew on to Columbus, Ohio.  Columbus is a 3 hour drive from my house.  On my return drive, I crossed the Ohio River and noticed a tow boat pushing a few loaded coal barges upstream.  A nice, and normal welcome home view. 🙂

Ricky

The very best welcome home view ever was seeing my dear husband, Rick, waiting at the end of the driveway when I arrived.  I am very blessed. ❤ xxx

image

I want to add this photo of Finn and Gertie admiring their souvenir that I brought back from Paris….an Eiffel Tower key chain!!!  I absolutely love Finn’s France shirt and Gertie’s Eiffel Tower dress made by the very talented Sharon Humphreys.  Thank you again Sharon! ❤

image

Lastly, this is one of my favorite memories of England and commuting through many train stations during my stay.  I absolutely love this phrase “Mind the gap”.  A delightful warning and what a perfect way to remind people to be careful. ❤
