About mountainmullins

Sasha doll collector primarily plus other interesting dolls. I inheirited my love of dolls from my dear Mother and also her collection. My first Sasha doll was Gwennie, a redheaded studio doll. Since Gwennie, I have collected other Sasha dolls and love their individual personalities created by their eye painting, hair color and styling, and dressing them. It is such fun to share with other collectors!

A Happy Easter with Bonnie 💐

Image

Please meet my Bonnie the newest member of the Sasha Shangri-La family.  Bonnie is a Sasha studio doll wearing a lovely white studio dress that has the Sasha tag.  The ric-rac is the palest of lavender.  I added her black leather sandals.  I love the pure and innocent look this outfit gives to my dear, sweet Bonnie. 💐

The label for you to see. 💐

Bonnie’s hair was in plaits and I removed the plaiting because her hair is so thin and I wanted to give her a freer and softer look.  I love the beautiful waves of her very fine hair.  It is so like a child’s hair and, in my mind’s eye, I can see Bonnie running and playing in fields of wild flowers.  💐

I added a pale lavender and white ribbon in a way that I hope did not take over her face and hair.  Bonnie is an earlier studio doll and her face is made of gypsum.  She was painted by Sasha herself and she has light cheek blushing and pretty, pinky-coral painted lips. I love her expressive and pretty eyes. 💐

Hello dear Bonnie. Bonnie has a cloth body and she is very lovable and squeezable.  I absolutely love cloth dolls and have collected many different types of cloth dolls for years now.  My favorite Sasha studio dolls have cloth bodies.  💐

Bonnie up close. 💐

Bonnie with a few of her loving sisters.   Edith stands on the left side of the photo and Joanie and Gwennie stand on the right side of the photo. 💐💐💐💐

Bonnie and I want to thank you for visiting with us today.  We wish you a very Happy Easter and week to come. 💐 xxx

Happy Easter to you and your family. 💐

A Happy Gotz Sasha Ponytail Girl Gathering

Image

It is a great day for Gotz dolls.  It is a great day for Gotz Sasha dolls.  It is a great day for Gotz Sasha ponytail dolls.  The Gotz Sasha ponytail girls living at Sasha Shangri-La are here today to say hello to you! 😊

First up is Mimi wearing a fantastic Ra-ra outfit made by the talented Sharon Humphreys.  Her Mary Jane shoes were made by Ruthsdolls. 😊

Mimi looks a little sad today…perhaps lonely but not for long!

Who do you see sweet Mimi?

Oh, it is Berry!  Berry it is so nice to see you! Berry’s adorable top was made by Sharon Humphreys, her cute skirt was made by Chris Meatyard, and her blue leather sandals were made by Jean Jensen. 😊

Berry is so happy to be outdoors. I think she sees a friendly face in the distance…

Who is it Berry?

Oh my, it is Lee!  How nice to see you Lee.  Lee’s darling outfit is unmarked and her pink leather shoes were made by Jean Jensen.

Lee is a sensitive and caring girl. 😊

A little windy so please excuse the stray hairs in the photos.

Lee, who do you see that is coming to join the ponytail gathering?

Oh look, it is Morgen!  Morgen is our newest member of the ponytail family living here on Cow Creek. Mooooooo!  🐄🐄🐄

Though Morgen is a Gotz ponytail girl, her eyes were painted by Sasha Morgenthaler herself.  We are thrilled to have Morgen join our Sasha family. ❤

Morgen up close. ❤

Morgen is wearing a fantastic Ra-ra outfit made by Sharon Humphreys.  Her shoes are by Ruthsdolls.

I love this outfit…thank you Sharon! ❤ xxx

A Beautiful March Day

Image

It was a little chilly this morning and Morgen wanted to try on this pretty plaid coat made by Fanny Boiten. She particularly liked the handbag and the sweet dolly that belonged to my Mom. ❤

Morgen looks very nice in her new coat.

I love her sweet face. ❤

Morgen is already packing for her trip back to England. She is a real go-getter and I have yet to start packing.  I think I need a little encouragement. 😉

She said, “Mommy, what are you waiting for? I will help you pack for our trip!”

Having received such a generous offer of assistance, I agreed to start organizing this weekend. How exciting! Thank you Morgen for helping to motivate me. 😉

Look Morgen, here is Gertie! ❤

“Hi Gertie!  I am glad you came out to play!” 😊

“Hi Morgen!   Look, it has warmed up today!  It is 68 degrees and the sun is really shining too!”  😊

“I am wearing bib overalls made by Lorraine Tyler.  My leather shoes were made by Marti Murphy.”  ❤

“I think you can take your coat off Morgen now that it is so warm.” 🌞

Gertie on a beautiful March day. ❤

“Oh Morgen, I love your outfit!” ❤

Morgen picked this outfit made by A Passion for Sasha that was found on Shelly’s site with this adorable shoulder bag, red leather boots and blue knitted socks.😊

Red is a very good color for Morgen. 😊

“What a lovely day it is. I love being here at Sasha Shangri-La” ❤

Morgen loves to carry a handbag. ❤

“Gertie, come and see me.” 😊

Happy sisters. 😊

❤ ❤

Today was an unexpected sunny day and the daffodils bloomed here on Cow Creek  in February. Most unusual but welcomed. 😊

A very beautiful March day.  Gertie, Morgen, and I want to thank you for visiting with us and we hope you enjoyed this post.  Have a wonderful day and weekend too.  😊 xxx

A couple of waterlogue images to enjoy. ❤

A New Girl Arrives at Sasha Shangri-La ❤

Image

img_1285

Some of you may have seen this rare girl on Shelly’s site and you may have wondered where she went after leaving Sasha Doll UK.  She is a Gotz girl but with her eye painting by Sasha Morgenthaler herself.  I immediately fell in love with her. ❤

img_1287

The first three photos of this post were taken by Shelly. 😊

img_1286

I love Sasha’s studio doll paintings and this girl was no exception.  She is a very special, miniature studio-like doll. ❤

img_1284

After she arrived, I immediately took photos of her on this coral colored blanket. ❤

img_1283

My hands were shaking while taking the first photos. Such anticipation! 😊

img_1282

I think I was in shock with excitement for quite a while after she arrived. Thank goodness that I did hear her whisper that her name is Morgen. ❤

img_1302

Next I took a few photos of Morgen in her original brown cord dress with brown leather shoes. ❤

img_1304

❤ Hello Morgen ❤

img_1305

Welcome to Sasha Shangri-La dear one. ❤

img_1306

❤ Morgen ❤

img_1289

Next, I gave her back her ponytail to see how it would look.  Morgen loved playing in the doll room. 😊

img_1290

She has the little curl at the base of her neck. Plus the nice side wings.

img_1291

I really like her ponytail. 😊

img_1308

Then, I dressed Morgen in a studio style dress by Dolliepatch.  I think she looks very pretty in this outfit.

img_1309

I hope you enjoyed meeting Morgen today.  Thank you for visiting with us. ❤

img_1375

I styled Morgen’s hair back into her ponytail and then she joined her sisters Gracie, Joanie, and Gwennie.  They love to share stories of when they came alive as they were painted by Sasha Morgenthaler in Switzerland long ago.  Wouldn’t it have been wonderful to have been there to see the dolls come to life in her extraordinarily, talented hands? ❤

A waterlogue image to enjoy.  Morgen and I wish you a very happy and healthy week to come. 😊 xxx
