Hi! My name is Betsy. I live here at Sasha Shangri-La with my loving brother and sisters though I have been the only toddler.  My sister, Gracie, acts like a toddler but Mummy said she really is a bebe with a toddler heart. ❤

I love Gracie so much. She holds my hand to show me she cares and she is a wonderful sister. ❤

Gracie’s dress is blue like mine! I really like the red ladybug button on the front. I have butterflys on my dress. 🙂

Mummy took this photo of me when I first arrived at Sasha Shangri-La. As much as I love everyone here, I have secretly, in my heart, dreamed of having a sister like me to play with and to love. ❤

Drum roll please….

Well, dreams do come true and please meet my sweet sister, Ellie. 🙂

Ellie is almost my twin. Mummy said we were both named Iona at one time. I feel like Ellie is my twin sister. ❤

Mummy shared that Ellie was made in 2001 in Germany at the Gotz doll factory just like me!  She came to Sasha Shangri-La in her original outfit and tube which are safely stored.

Ellie has been redressed by Mummy in an pretty outfit found on Shelly’s site. Her leather shoes were made by Jean Jensen. You might be able to see the faint JJ marks on the soles of her shoes.

A pretty gingham ribbon seems to work well with Ellie’s head of beautiful curls.

Gracie welcomes Ellie.  Gracie shares with Ellie that she is a toddler too just like Ellie and like me!  Well, at least in Gracie’s mind, she is a toddler!  Gracie says that she has to be a toddler since she gets around the farm more than anyone and a baby cannot walk, right??  Ellie believes Gracie and loves her with all of her heart.  We all love Gracie! 🙂

Well, look here and how nice it is to see us three sisters together. 🙂

Gracie wants you to see that she has legs that do “toddle” very well!  That is how she moves around when Mummy is not watching. 😉

Hello there and good morning! Here at Sasha Shangri-La, we had our first frost yesterday and so we are embracing the beautiful Fall season and dressing colorfully and wearing our cardigan sweaters or affectionally called, our cardis for warmth.

It took a while to sort out the outfits but the outcome was worth it. Each girl is holding a favorite soft animal and sometimes they exchange animals among themselves.  It is very nice to share with others. 🙂

Chloe on the left was made in 1966 and Adeline on the right was made a year later. It is so nice to see the brunettes together to compare and contrast their features.  Later, after the day warmed up, we went outdoors to take a few photos.

It was such a beautiful day and this is Hope wearing a Ruthsdolls outfit with a warm cardi made by Mary Anne Getchell.  Her leather shoes and striped socks are made by Ruthsdolls.  Hope’s hair was cut very short at one time.  She has now been wonderfully rerooted by Pat Pellerito and I love her long hair. ❤

Next is Tilly wearing her favorite dress made by Lorraine Tyler. Her cardi was knitted by Mary Anne Getchell and her lime green leather shoes were made by Jean Jensen.

Next is my sweet Carney wearing a lovely dress made by Nikita. Her aqua sweater was knitted by Mary Anne Getchell and her peachy colored, leather shoes were made by Jean Jensen.

Lovely Ellen is wearing a floral dress by Molly. It has a nice, full sash that ties in the back to make a generous bow. She loves this dress very much and wore it often last Fall.  Her sweater also knitted by Mary Anne Getchell and her socks and leather shoes are from Ruthsdolls.  Did you notice her blue bird pin?

Adeline is wearing a whimsical, printed dress made in France. I love the ricrac trimming sewn on her rounded collar.  Those types of special touches really make for a special dress. Her pink leather shoes were made by Jean Jensen

Adeline once again because I love seeing her pretty face. ❤

Joy is wearing a pretty smocked dress made by Millie Dingham and a colorful cardi by Mary Anne.  Her shoes are by Ruthsdolls. It is hard to cover up the beautiful smocking on her dress but one must keep warm. 😉

Chloe’s lovely sweater was knitted by Linda Simpson of the UK. Her dressed is tagged but has a photo of a watering can on the label and no name so I do not know the maker.  Chloe has very deep, blue eyes. ❤

Sylvia is becoming very friendly with Adeline. She gave Adeline a sock monkey to play with and that sweet gesture made them fast friends.

Both girls are wearing light weight coats due to feeling a slight nip in the air.

Sylvia was happy to take Adeline outdoors. The air felt clean and cool on their faces.

Sylvia is a 1966 NP with lovely brown eyes. I love her innocent expression. 🙂

Sylvia’s pretty coat was found on Shelly’s site though I do not know the maker. Her corduroy overalls were made by Mary Anne Getchell who sells on Etsy.  Her dusty pink suede shoes were made by Jean Jensen.

Adeline loves the outdoors too. We added red knitted socks to keep her feet warm 😉

My grandmother’s name was Adeline and I have always loved the name “Adeline”. It was also my mother’s middle name. This is the first time that I have been so moved to name a Sasha doll in memory of my grandmother and my Mother. It was an immediate heart connection. ❤

Adeline is a 1967 brunette NP that I was very fortunate to find on Shelly’s site. When I first unwrapped her and saw her sweet face, I just instantly connected with Adeline. <3. One brunette NP has lived here at Sasha Shangri-La for years now and her name is Chloe. She is a 1966 girl and she has a very different, unique look so we are very happy to adopt sweet Adeline. 🙂

Adeline is wearing a lovely outfit also found on Shelly’s site and made by Sashadollstyle. I love the fabric and pretty butterflies and perfect blue trim. The outfit came with the dress, detachable belt, pants, socks, leather shoes, and headband. I did not put the headband on her this time since I like Adeline’s hair style the way it is, at least for now. 🙂

We went outdoors to take photos of Adeline wearing a very pretty dress made by JoAnn Staricha.

JoAnn showed this pretty dress and coat set on facebook and took orders so I signed up! JoAnn lives in the USA and her well made outfit came quickly in the mail. I ordered it with Adeline in mind. 🙂

Adeline really likes her new clothes. She arrived wearing her original gingham dress and was most ready for a change. We put her gingham outfit safely away for another day.

JoAnn’s maker’s tag is sewn in the coat and the hood is lined with the dress fabric–wonderful! JoAnn also sent a pretty butterfly hair clip and a cheery thank you card. Adeline is fast becoming a lover of butterflies. 🙂

Ryder, Gotz Straight Nose Boy

You might remember Ryder that was shown here on the blog recently. I bought Ryder years ago from a member of the Sasha Mart and he came to me redressed very casually. I have wanted to see him dressed nicely and was lucky to find a handmade school boy outfit on Shelly’s site recently.  Ryder is a Gotz straight nose boy made in the 1960’s.

Is this really Ryder? Yes, it is Ryder! I took photos both indoors and outdoors with the weather cooperating. 🙂

Fara is one of my “low maintenance” girls. She was an ebay find some years ago and she came with beautiful, bouncing curls and she has kept them even today. Fara looks great in everything I put on her. Very easy on the eye! 🙂
