About mountainmullins

Sasha doll collector primarily plus other interesting dolls. I inheirited my love of dolls from my dear Mother and also her collection. My first Sasha doll was Gwennie, a redheaded studio doll. Since Gwennie, I have collected other Sasha dolls and love their individual personalities created by their eye painting, hair color and styling, and dressing them. It is such fun to share with other collectors!

My Girls

Image

image
Adeline is wearing a new dress from Shelly’s site that serves as a great pinafore over her Ruthsdolls pink corduroy dress. I love the pretty pink and purple print which came with a nice matching hair tie and pants. The maker is unknown. ย Tilly is also wearing a pretty floral dress by an unknown maker and from Shelly’s site. Tilly wears her colorful cardi by Mary Anne Getchell. Both girls are wearing brightly colored, leather Mary Jane shoes by Jean Jensen.

You may notice in the background our beautiful rottie, Shelby. She loves to be there, right in the mix of things, when I take the Sashas outdoors. โค

We brought a quilt with us to soften the ground.

It was a beautiful Fall day to take the photos.

Tilly loves her new outfit. ย Her great socks were found on Shelly’s site and were made by Dollies4u.

Adeline and Tilly send their hugs to you and wish everyone a wonderful week to come. They also send their well wishes to those traveling to Dee’s Chat n Snap this weekend. Have a great time everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚ xxx

Greetings from the Boys at Sasha Shangri-La

Image

image
Hello and happy greetings from the Sasha Shangri-La boys! At least most of the English boys and not including this time Ben, the sole studio boy, Heiri, a course boy, Rusty another course boy, and Ryder a Gotz boy. Sweet Gracie loves the boys too and is sitting with them for their first photo of this post. โค

image
The boys from left to right are Ebo, Quinn, and Jimmy. ย They each have their pups tucked in arm. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Next we have a partial view of Jimmy and then Drew, Finn and Lewis.

image
Max, Joey and Brett are next in the line-up.

image
Last in this row is Bob, Duncan Hans, and a boy named Paul by his previous owner.

It was a bit challenging to get these lads all in a row and they are snuggly packed in line. ย I was successful to capture them all in one photo.

Wait, the sun came out and so we will all go outdoors for photos. How do you easily take twelve boys and their dogs outdoors??? Well, here was my solution this time. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
The boys were carried out in a laundry basket and wrapped in a blanket and in one trip! ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Wonderful boys lined up and in a different order than the indoor photo. It is cooler and the boys are wearing their sweaters except for Finn who wanted to try on a newly found Elliott shirt by A Passion for Sasha. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Happy boys to be outdoors. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Duncan Hans wears a colorful sweater knitted by Diane Duke. I was so happy to meet Diane at the Festival in Phoenix and was able to add a few of her wonderful creations to the Sasha wardrobe. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
This is Joey a petite 1970’s blonde boy. He wears a great pullover top made by Millie Dingham. I love the smocked insert with a dinosaur stitched inside. ย He is happily munching on leaves. ๐Ÿ™‚ ย Joey’s leather boots are by Ruthsdolls.

image
Next is Drew, a 1968 brunette boy with NP eyes. He wears a wonderful sweater made by Diane Duke. ย His weathered boots were made by Lisa in the UK.

image
This is Jimmy, a sweet natured, 1968 brunette boy adopted from Ellen Church. Ellen included his original denim outfit with Jimmy and also this handsome shirt, and brown cord pants. I found the cardi on Shelly’s site.

image
Next is Quinn, a shorts boy found on Shelly’s site. Quinn originally was owned by Ronnie making him extra special. ๐Ÿ™‚ ย Quinn’s sweater is very colorful and was also made by Diane. It fits perfectly and Quinn loves it. โค ย  His cargo pants are by Gotz and his leather boots were made by Jean Jensen.

image

The boys were so thoughtful to stand still for the many photos. ๐Ÿ˜‰

image
This is the most handsome Ebo that is a Shelly repaint of an earlier Caleb. He wears a great sweater and pants made by Joan Wilson and leather boots by Jean Jensen. ย Please excuse the fuzzies I just noticed on his face. I think it was from the blanket used to protect the boys while in transit.

image
This is Finn, our only NP boy here at Sasha Shangri-La. ย Finn is all boy and we love him very much! ย  He holds his pup Fetch. Finn wear an Elliot top and his red leather boots were made by Jean Jensen.

image
Next is Lewis that was adopted from Susanna Lewis earlier this year. Lewis came in his original box, outfit, and tags. He is a 1968 brunette boy with smaller eyes. His outfit was made by Betsy May. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Another brunette boy that has his own look is Max, an ebay find. He is from the 1970’s and has great non-falling hair. I do not know the maker of his outfit but I think he looks very smart in it ๐Ÿ™‚

image
The last grouping of the boys.

image
Brett is a 1969 boy with mottled blue eyes. I have grown very fond of him and he is wearing a lovely sweater made by Lorraine Tyler with matching socks that you cannot see but Brett is glad they are in place. His boots are by Ruthsdolls.

A last photo of the merry band of boys enjoying the outdoors on the farm. They are sending you all their big boy hugs and also their well wishes for the week to come! ๐Ÿ™‚ xxx

Toddle Time for Toddlers

Image

image
Hi! My name is Betsy. I live here at Sasha Shangri-La with my loving brother and sisters though I have been the only toddler. ย My sister, Gracie, acts like a toddler but Mummy said she really is a bebe with a toddler heart. โค

image
I love Gracie so much. She holds my hand to show me she cares and she is a wonderful sister. โค

image
Gracie is wearing a beautiful, new dress and shoes, socks, and hat made by Thu Cuc Faes who lives in Switzerland.

image
Gracie’s dress is blue like mine! I really like the red ladybug button on the front. I have butterflys on my dress. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Gracie, I love you! โค

image
Gracie’s lovely outfit.

Betsy, Gotz Toddler

Mummy took this photo of me when I first arrived at Sasha Shangri-La. As much as I love everyone here, I have secretly, in my heart, dreamed of having a sister like me to play with and to love. โค

Drum roll please….

image
Well, dreams do come true and please meet my sweet sister, Ellie. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Ellie is almost my twin. Mummy said we were both named Iona at one time. I feel like Ellie is my twin sister. โค

image
Mummy shared that Ellie was made in 2001 in Germany at the Gotz doll factory just like me! ย She came to Sasha Shangri-La in her original outfit and tube which are safely stored.

image
Ellie has been redressed by Mummy in an pretty outfit found on Shelly’s site. Her leather shoes were made by Jean Jensen. You might be able to see the faint JJ marks on the soles of her shoes.

image
A pretty gingham ribbon seems to work well with Ellie’s head of beautiful curls.

image
Ellie toddling and on the move.

image
Ellie. โค

image
I gave Ellie a tiny puppy to hug. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Gracie welcomes Ellie. ย Gracie shares with Ellie that she is a toddler too just like Ellie and like me! ย Well, at least in Gracie’s mind, she is a toddler! ย Gracie says that she has to be a toddler since she gets around the farm more than anyone and a baby cannot walk, right?? ย Ellie believes Gracie and loves her with all of her heart. ย We all love Gracie! ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Well, look here and how nice it is to see us three sisters together. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Gracie wants you to see that she has legs that do “toddle” very well! ย That is how she moves around when Mummy is not watching. ๐Ÿ˜‰

image
Three sisters in a row sharing sisterly affection. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Loving sisters up close.

image
Gracie without her hat.

image
Ellie and I want Gracie to stand up but….

image
Gracie says let’s sit down to wave goodbye to everyone that has visited us.

image
We are also sending big hugs and well wishes for the week to come. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
A parting, framed gift of dear Ellie, from me, Betsy, to everyone that loves toddlers. โค

Sweater Weather at Sasha Shangri-La

Image

image
Hello there and good morning! Here at Sasha Shangri-La, we had our first frost yesterday and so we are embracing the beautiful Fall season and dressing colorfully and wearing our cardigan sweaters or affectionally called, our cardis for warmth.

It took a while to sort out the outfits but the outcome was worth it. Each girl is holding a favorite soft animal and sometimes they exchange animals among themselves. ย It is very nice to share with others. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
A few random photos taken of the girls indoors and as they were lined up.

image

image

image
Redheaded girls, Joy and Sylvia, both 1966 NP with early eye painting but different colors. โค

image
Pretty blonde NP girls. ย They each have their own, unique look.

image
A happy gathering of the early 1966 girls that share the same vintage.

image
The sweet 1967 girls in a row. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Chloe on the left was made in 1966 and Adeline on the right was made a year later. It is so nice to see the brunettes together to compare and contrast their features. ย Later, after the day warmed up, we went outdoors to take a few photos.

image
It was such a beautiful day and this is Hope wearing a Ruthsdolls outfit with a warm cardi made by Mary Anne Getchell. ย Her leather shoes and striped socks are made by Ruthsdolls. ย Hope’s hair was cut very short at one time. ย She has now been wonderfully rerooted by Pat Pellerito and I love her long hair. โค

image
Next is Tilly wearing her favorite dress made by Lorraine Tyler. Her cardi was knitted by Mary Anne Getchell and her lime green leather shoes were made by Jean Jensen.

image
Next is my sweet Carney wearing a lovely dress made by Nikita. Her aqua sweater was knitted by Mary Anne Getchell and her peachy colored, leather shoes were made by Jean Jensen.

image
Lovely Ellen is wearing a floral dress by Molly. It has a nice, full sash that ties in the back to make a generous bow. She loves this dress very much and wore it often last Fall. ย Her sweater also knitted by Mary Anne Getchell and her socks and leather shoes are from Ruthsdolls. ย Did you notice her blue bird pin?

image
Adeline is wearing a whimsical, printed dress made in France. I love the ricrac trimming sewn on her rounded collar. ย Those types of special touches really make for a special dress. Her pink leather shoes were made by Jean Jensen

image
Adeline once again because I love seeing her pretty face. โค

image
Joy is wearing a pretty smocked dress made by Millie Dingham and a colorful cardi by Mary Anne. ย Her shoes are by Ruthsdolls. It is hard to cover up the beautiful smocking on her dress but one must keep warm. ๐Ÿ˜‰

image
Joy shown from a different view. ย I love her blue eyes and very thick hair. โค

image
Sylvia is wearing a dress by Jadzia and sweater by Mary Anne Getchell. Her lovely knitted socks are made by Gillian Nash and her chocolate brown, leather shoes are by Sashapotamus.

image
A diiferent view of Sylvia. ย Her eyes are a very pretty brown color. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
Chloe’s lovely sweater was knitted by Linda Simpson of the UK. Her dressed is tagged but has a photo of a watering can on the label and no name so I do not know the maker. ย Chloe has very deep, blue eyes. โค

image
Chloe’s olive green, leather shoes are by Sashapotamus.

image
The last photo is of the girls lined up once again and sending you hugs and sincere wishes for a beautiful week to come. ย Thank you for stopping by and spending time with us. ๐Ÿ™‚ xxx

Sylvia and Adeline

Image

image
Sylvia is becoming very friendly with Adeline. She gave Adeline a sock monkey to play with and that sweet gesture made them fast friends.

image
Both girls are wearing light weight coats due to feeling a slight nip in the air.

image
Sylvia was happy to take Adeline outdoors. The air felt clean and cool on their faces.

image
Sylvia is a 1966 NP with lovely brown eyes. I love her innocent expression. ๐Ÿ™‚

image
A close view of Sylvia.

image
Sylvia’s pretty coat was found on Shelly’s site though I do not know the maker. Her corduroy overalls were made by Mary Anne Getchell who sells on Etsy. ย Her dusty pink suede shoes were made by Jean Jensen.

image
Adeline loves the outdoors too. We added red knitted socks to keep her feet warm ๐Ÿ˜‰

image
A close view of sweet Adeline.

image
Adeline tried on another pretty outfit made by Carol Ann Marsh of the UK. Adeline loves her sock monkey!

image
A full view of her skirt and sweater.

image
A last photo of Adeline next to little Gracie. Gracie already loves Adeline very much and calls her ” my sweet Addie”. Gracie is also giving you a sneak peek of her new outfit by Thu Cuc Faes. There will be another post soon of this dear, little poppet, Gracie.

From Sasha Shangri-La, Sylvia, Adeline, and Gracie are all sending you hugs and they wish you a very happy weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚ xxx
