I really love our large, hammered metal nativity scene of Joseph, Mary, and baby Jesus that has white lights in a clear rope that runs around the edges of each figure. It looks beautiful in the day or the night. ❤
I have always loved nativity scenes, both large and small, and was lucky to catch a very narrow window of a few rays of sunshine. So, I was able to take a few photos outdoors just before my dear husband took down the nativity to store it away until next Christmas.

It was very cold that day so I bundled up baby Avania and helped Joy and Quinn to find warm duffle coats to wear and knitted boggins too. 🙂

Joy wanted to bring a wagon instead of a stroller for Avania to sit and enjoy the sun. Joy was sure to add Avania’s bunny but also found a red wagon and doll for Avania to play with and enjoy the outdoors. Joy’s duffle coat was made by Ruth’s Dolls and her boggin was knitted by Maryanne Getchell on Etsy. It matches her sweater which you can’t see because her warm duffle coat is covering it very well. 🙂

Avania likes to feel the sun on her face. 🙂

Joy is also enjoying the sunshine. Joy is a 1966 early English production girl. Her red hair is super thick and long and braids well. I love her blue eyes!

Quinn is a most favorite boy here at Sasha Shangri-La and is a Shorts boy that was found on Shelly’s site and was previously owned by Ronnie (Ronnie, Quinn sends his love to you!). I do not know who knitted his boggin but it was well done. His slacks were made by Gotz and his blue leather boots were made by Jean Jensen. 🙂

Another group photo of this happy trio enjoying a bit of sunshine. 🙂

A last photo of our nativity scene with the old barn in the background and rolled hay bales in the very far distance, past the barn. Tomorrow, I return to work and I have so enjoyed my time off during the holidays.
All of us here at Sasha Shangri-La want to thank you for visiting. We are sending you warm hugs to help you endure these cold days and also sending our heart-felt wishes for a wonderful week to come! 🙂 xxx
