Summertime and the Living is Easy

Hello from Cathy who is so happy to show you her new summery dress made by Marianne of Nomacustom on Etsy.  We love the pretty floral print and the rick rack trim.

Cathy is a very early Gotz girl with her ochre eyes and her no mold line torso.  She is a petite girl with nice silky hair.

I love the contour of her pretty face. It gives her a most innocent expression.

Cathy sends you a big hug.

Well, look here…we have Gertie, one of the favorite girls here at Sasha Shangri-La.

Gertie is dressed in a pretty floral dress with a frilly white blouse. The maker is unknown and the outfit was found on Shelly’s most enjoyable site.  Her beautiful locket is a gift from her twin sister Edith who lives with Janet.

Most of you know that Gertie is a repaint by the very talented Janet Myhill-Dabbs.  She was previously a much loved Pintucks girl.

Gertie is a very sweet sister to all of her siblings here on Cow Creek.

Gertie sends her love to you.

Now we see Faith, a beautiful 1968 Fringe girl.  She is dressed in a pretty floral frock with an eyelet blouse.  The maker is unknown and it was found on Shelly’s wonderful site.

Faith was a very lucky eBay find years ago and she was my first fringe girl.  I love her very much.

I really like the blue side panel of this dress. It is unexpected and beautiful to see.

Faith sends her love to you.

These pretty girls want to thank you for visiting visiting with us today. We hope you enjoyed  this summery post.  We hope you have a wonderful day and a wonderful week to come.

Goodbye to you our friends from all of us at Cow Creek.

    • Thank you Lel. I took the photos yesterday when it was sunny and we have had our rain this morning. Now that school is back in session, Fall is nearly here and so I wanted to try to take some photos of a few Summer outfits before the cold demands that we wear our sweaters or coats. 😊 xxx

  1. Such pretty girls; each one different and each completely charming. The Nomacustom dress is just beautiful. I really love all of her work. She makes absolutely the best underwear for boys and girls. We’re always buying more. I also really like the Sashapotamus denim sandals. I think I’ll have to get a pair, as my girls having been hinting lately that their footwear selection is apparently not all that it should be!

    • Thank you Steve. It was fun to get these different girls together. I love Nomacustom’s work too especially the underwear. The boys underwear is really colorful too with nice patterns and the fit is great. It seems I am always out of Sasha and Gregor underwear and I wonder where they all disappeared to! 😉

The denim sandals are really nice and I highly recommend them. Plus denim goes with everything, like a good pair of jeans, and these sandals will go nicely with a lot of their outfits. 😊 xxx

  2. A lovely trio of girls Ginger. I do love the floral dresses and these three are beautiful.
Such a different look to each girl making them all the more lovely to see.
The famous Gertie, a trend setter 🙂
So nice to see them out in the sun, we are hoping for some of that tomorrow, although we had rain it was lovely and bright!
Have a lovely week ahead 🙂 xxx

    • Thanks Dee. I tried to pick different girls to give us a variety to see. Gertie has no idea she started a “Gertie” family though she has met a few other Gerties like her twin Edith, Clarisse belonging to Kendal, and we have Lizzy living here and Sunny a farm girl that are “Gertie” cousins to be sure. They are hard to resist.

We have had rain today, then sunshine, and now it is thundering. Never dull to be sure. I hope you enjoy your day off and have a lovely day tomorrow. 😊 xxx

  3. Lovely girls in their pretty dresses Ginger. Seeing you mention that Gertie was a much loved Pintucks girl reminded me of Pinny and the fun times she and Henry had. He wants to know if you still have her? August has been a disappointing month weather wise for us – I think too many people moaned about the heat and mother nature decided ‘right then, I’ll change the weather back into typical English weather – overcast, dreary and damp!’ 😉 Be careful what you wish for eh?! Personally I loved the heat it was a real change.

    • Thank you Lorraine. Please tell Henry that Pinny left for a new home a while ago. That visit with Henry was so very nice. Today were have extreme heat again in the upper nineties. Last week was blissful in the eighties between storms. September is usually warm here so we will be patient for our most desirable Fall weather. 😊 xxx

  4. Such pretty girls in lovely summer dresses and shoes. Our summer seems to be over but nice that you still have sunshine x

    • Thanks Tricia! Yes, we still are in summer here with lots of sun and heat. I am thinking of you by the North Sea and perhaps watching a passing ferry ⛴ headed for the lovely Netherlands. 😊 xxx

  5. I have just found your wonderful post Ginger, what a delightful trio of beauties! They look so pretty in their flowery dresses, all unique in their own way. My Faith sends her love to your Faith, Edith sends her love to Gertie and I send my love to Cathy!

  6. Three beautiful girls wearing equally gorgeous outfits Ginger. I have to admit that I have a very big soft spot for Faith though, she’s just lovely with her blond hair and such gorgeous eyes…they are like big blue pools, so welcome on a hot sunny day!
I hope you have a lovely weekend xxxx

    • Thank you Sharon. Faith does have amazing eyes and I have not seen another fringe girl like her. I love the individual eye painting on these early girls. I hope your weekend is wonderful too. 😊 xxx
