A Happy Easter with Bonnie ๐Ÿ’

Please meet my Bonnie the newest member of the Sasha Shangri-La family. ย Bonnie is a Sasha studio doll wearing a lovely white studio dress that has the Sasha tag. ย The ric-rac is the palest of lavender. ย I added her black leather sandals. ย I love the pure and innocent look this outfit gives to my dear, sweet Bonnie. ๐Ÿ’

The label for you to see. ๐Ÿ’

Bonnie’s hair was in plaits and I removed the plaiting because her hair is so thin and I wanted to give her a freer and softer look. ย I love the beautiful waves of her very fine hair. ย It is so like a child’s hair and, in my mind’s eye, I can see Bonnie running and playing in fields of wild flowers. ย ๐Ÿ’

I added a pale lavender and white ribbon in a way that I hope did not take over her face and hair. ย Bonnie is an earlier studio doll and her face is made of gypsum. ย She was painted by Sasha herself and she has light cheek blushing and pretty, pinky-coral painted lips. I love her expressive and pretty eyes. ๐Ÿ’

Hello dear Bonnie. Bonnie has a cloth body and she is very lovable and squeezable. ย I absolutely love cloth dolls and have collected many different types of cloth dolls for years now. ย My favorite Sasha studio dolls have cloth bodies. ย ๐Ÿ’

Bonnie up close. ๐Ÿ’

Bonnie and I want to thank you for visiting with us today. ย We wish you a very Happy Easter and week to come. ๐Ÿ’ xxx

Happy Easter to you and your family. ๐Ÿ’

  1. What a wonderful addition to your Sasha studio family. ๐Ÿ™‚ Bonnie looks lovely in the white Sasha dress, her blue eyes have a sparkle to them.
And what a fabulous photo of the four sisters together, Edith, Bonnie, Joanie and Gwennie, you must be over the moon to be able to have a group watching and waiting for those cuddles.
I have to agree about the clothe bodied dolls being so huggable, It why the Course dolls are also so wonderful, that weight and squashy body just like a child.

Have a great Easter and I look forward to seeing these girls again ๐Ÿ™‚ xxx

    • Yes, I am thrilled with the studio dolls and I love the course dolls too as you know. Lately I have adopted out a few of the NP dolls that lived her on Cow Creek to really wonderful new homes. I am what I call “right” sizing my collection which has helped me to adopt a couple of new dolls and, happily, Bonnie is one of them! ๐Ÿ’

Thank you for the lovely comments and the Happy Easter wishes. See you soon Dee! (How exciting is that???) ๐Ÿ’ xxx

  2. Congratulations on your newest girl Ginger, she is gorgeous and looks like she is settling in very well with her sisters. I like the idea of ‘right sizing’ ๐Ÿ™‚ What a great name for changing or down sizing a collection – sounds much nicer.

Best wishes for a lovely Easter,

    • Thank you Lorraine. Yes, Bonnie is settling in very well. I am so happy that I had the studio dress ready for her. I think it suits her well. I like right sizing too. I seem to do that regularly over the years and I have had only a few regrets. It keeps the collection interesting too. ๐Ÿ’ xxx

  3. What a lovely new addition to your Sasha family Ginger! She is beautiful, as is her dress which suits her perfectly. I think dolls with this tanned skin tone do look great in white.
She fits in very well with her sisters too, it is great to see them all together.
Have a lovely Easter, big hugs xxx

  4. Bonnie is a lovely arrival just in time for Easter – such a little beauty. My girl was oohing and aahing about her eyes and serene face.
Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

  5. ANOTHER beautiful studio Doll arrives! Wow! I can hardly keep up with all these new additions and on such a regular basis! Surely you must be running out of suitable names for each and everyone by now…never mind the remembering of them.
Keep meaning to ask if the dolls with the gypsum heads feel much, or any heavier, that the others?
Loving her gorgeous white dress and to have the Sasha label on it too is to die for! How and where did you find that fabulous buy?
Interesting too seeing the photo of your four studio Dolls standing together and noticing their slight height differences.
Great water-logue photo to finish off with.
A very happy Easter to you and yours,..and not forgetting your ever-increasing Sasha Doll collection!
PS. Liked the term the ‘right sized’ collection. (I went WAY OVER what should have been mine and are now suffering the consequences!)

    • Thank you Kendal for the lovely comments. I have been most fortunate to add a few Sasha dolls lately that were painted by Sasha herself. They are so lovely and a joy to have in my collection. I am still able to find lovely names and sometimes they bring their names with them which is so nice. Yes, the gypsum heads are heavier than the plastic heads but to me they feel comparable to a course doll head in weight.

Bonnie’s white dress was purchased from Susanna Lewis at the time I adopted Abby. Abby is the AI very studio doll with yellow yarn plaits. I have since purchased a blue floral studio dress for Abby so this white studio dress was stored in hopes of finding a new owner one day.

Right sizing can have its painful moments because it is hard to part with these wonderful dolls that quickly become family members and tug on your heart strings. But it helps a lot to adopt them out to wonderful new homes and to see their new Moms love them so much. Thank you for the lovely Easter wishes! ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿฃ xxx

  6. What a sweet faced girl! I love her in that white dress, it makes her look so innocent. Congratulations on this great find, and happy Easter!

    • Thank you Ursula! I agree, Bonnie looks so innocent and sweet in her long white dress. I am happy that I had the dress here and waiting for a special doll to wear it. Thank you too for the happy Easter wishes. ๐Ÿ’ Xxx

  7. Bonnie looks right at home already and lives up to her perfect name. Congratulations on finding and adopting her and it’s so nice to see her and all your other lovely girls together x

  8. What a beautiful girl to wish us all a Happy Easter. She truly is Bonnie and I love her whole demeanour. Her baby fine hair suits her so well, as does the wonderful Studio dress. How fine she looks next to her siblings โค

    • Thank you Janet. Bonnie is a real treasure. I am so happy she has joined us here on Cow Creek. She is right in the middle of things and enjoying the company of her new family. ๐Ÿ’ xxx
