Well, it is a very cool and rainy day today and I am glad I took these photos on Sunday though it was overcast., it was dry. This is Gertie, a repaint/restoration of a well worn Pintucks by Janet Myhill-Dabbs and she is wearing a beautiful festival outfit from 1998 and held in Cincinnati, Ohio. 🙂
Gertie is holding her baby that was a gift from her sister Edith. Gertie is wearing hand knitted socks and red leather shoes by Ruthsdolls. 🙂

This is Lizzy, Gertie’s sister and she is wearing a beautiful 1998 Cincinnati Festival outfit too. I was fortunate to find both of these outfits on Susanna Lewis’ website. 🙂
Lizzy is a repaint/restoration by Janet Myhill-Dabbs and was previously a Prince Gregor in very, very poor condition. Now there is new life for this waif. 🙂
I love these fabrics and the extra attention to detail on the pinafore and the dress. ❤

These dear little walnut head babies came with their festival outfits and also with two beautiful little quilts lovingly tied with a ribbon. There was also wonderful reading materials included with these festival items. ❤

How lovely to see these two sisters again enjoying the outside environment with their joint pram and baby dolls.
Thrilled to see how both these very attractive farmgirl outfits suit each one individually. Adore how the three items, pinafore, dress and petticoat, have been made from three different materials yet each in unison with the overall colour scheme. Both being the perfect colouring for enhancing their eyes and hair…..even down to their Ruthsdoll’s shoes and socks! Absolutely perfect!
I love too how you and Janet have breathed new life into these two outstanding dolls (and have to admit that they are probably two of my favourite of your Sasha collection and can’t seem to get enough of seeing them here on your blog, loving the waifs as I do!) I hope that one day in the future I will be able to ask Janet to do my ‘Gertie’ a brown eyed/brunette haired ‘Lizzy’ sister…. as I was undecided as to which colouring to go for first.

Thank you Kendal for your lovely comments. When I saw these two outfits I thought of the two sisters, Gertie and Lizzy, immediately. I was thrilled to receive the package in the mail and to see how lovely everything was and just perfect for the sisters. 🙂
Janet has given them new life and such beauty. They are two of my favorites Sashas as well and I have shown them on the blog quite a lot and especially Gertie. I love the waifs too and have discovered that most waifs touch my heart immediately. It is similiar to me to our past 3-4 family dogs which were all rescue dogs. We now only adopt rescue dogs because they speak to our hearts. Sasha waifs speak a special and unique language and especially those who have been lovingly restored. ❤
I hope you adopt a brunette Lizzy girl too. They look so nice together as sisters and you have time to find a good waif candidate to restore. I also look forward to seeing your "Gertie" one day soon. ❤ xxx
Lovely to see the souvenirs from our Cincinnati Riverboat Days 1998 Sasha Festival still bring joy. Kay and I had a good time coordinating, planning, and getting everything together and ready. Thanks, Ginger, for posting these lovely pictures.

I just love this post Ginger. 🙂 I love the Pintucks and these girls painted by Janet are probably my favourite of her repaints, I think it because of their eyes and the wigs with the plaits.
They both look so lovely in their Sasha Festival outfits, which is a style I love on these dolls. The little wooden babies and their pretty little quilts are sweet . It’s nice to see the girls getting to play with the pram and babies outside before the weather changes. Thanks for sharing such a lovely post and those water colours are so good! :)xxx

The girls just look so adorable in these most wonderful outfits. I just love the attention to every little detail, from the layering of fabrics to the knitted socks and shoes, the tiny walnut babies and their quilts. Gertie and Lizzie look perfect in these outfits, true little Prairie girls.
