Fall Back into Fall, Welcome November

image
Yesterday was November 1st and we turned our clocks back one hour. One way to remember which way to adjust your time is a favorite saying, ” Spring forward, Fall back.” Β So in the Spring you set your clock forward one hour and in the Fall, you set your clock back one hour. πŸ™‚

This is Mae a 1960’s Gotz waif that spent more than her share of time on Shelly’s site and then came to live here last May. Our overcast days of late caused us to take indoor photos.

Mae is wearing a lovely outfit made by Vintage Sasha. I love the fine corduory and the sweet floral pattern. It fits her perfectly as do the accompanying tights too. πŸ™‚

I always feel fortunate to get an outfit made by Sarah and this ensemble was no exception to having that happy feeling. πŸ™‚

I added leather shoes by Sashapotamus. πŸ™‚

A waterlogue image of Mae and we both thank you for visiting us. Have a beautiful week to come! πŸ™‚ xxx

  1. Hello sweet May, do you know in Europe we put our clocks back a week before you guys in the fall, I first heart Spring Forward and Fall Back when I lived your side of the water, I have never forgotten it. You outfit is just beautiful by the way! x

    • Hi Auntie Janet and I am so happy you enjoyed seeing my new outfit. I am so happy to be dressed for the cooler weather now. Mommy told me you all were ahead of us turning back the clock. It will take some time to adjust to the new time but I am sure it will all be just fine. Love, Mae xxx

    • Thank you Lorraine. Yes, it really does feel very different now that the time has changed and most of the leaves have fallen from the trees. The days are shorter and it is getting cooler but still in the 60’s – 70’s here but a few mornings we have had some frost. πŸ™‚ xxx

  2. I love your early ochre eye Mae, Ginger. It is the early Gotz that I find so unique and endearing. And to have one of Sarah’s pieces is special. I have several outfits from Vintage Sasha but mine are from when she was selling through eBay. I don’t think I will ever part with them.

    • Thank you so much Cathy. I too am finding the early Gotz very endearing and am enjoying them as part of our Sasha family. Sarah’s outfits are just wonderful and I agree, it is very special to have one. I am happy your enjoyed this mini post. πŸ™‚ xxx

  3. The lovely Mae a very pretty girl. It’s nice to give a waif, whose waited patiently on Shelly’s watching as Sasha’s have come and gone and still she’s waited , not knowing that someone’s been watching her wait , until they can watch no more and just have to invite her home, as you did with Mae. They are think hold a special place in out hearts! :)xxx

    • Hello Dee and thank you! Yes indeed, Mae is exactly that to me. She holds a very special place in my heart and I almost wince when I think of the many times I looked at her and I was so indecisive and even purchased other things before her. Thank goodness I woke up and took action to bring this dear girl home. She is very loved. ❀ xxx

  4. What a pretty girl and I remember missing this outfit on Sarah’s blog! LOL so that’s where it went πŸ˜‰ It looks so nice on Mae with her autumnal colouring.
We put our clocks back whilst I was in the UK so I got an extra hour of holiday! No wonder I felt so tired when I got back!
I hope you have a lovely Autumn/fall and don’t fall forward and spring back, will you!
Big hugs, Sharon in Spain xxx

    • Hi Sharon! Yes, I was very lucky this time to be first for this outfit. I like to think about who the lucky people are to get the lovely Vintage Sasha outfits. I imagine them going all over the world to happy homes with lovely Sashas. Very wonderful. ❀

I hope you have a lovely autumn too with no falls ever! Thank you for writing my friend. Big hugs for you too! πŸ™‚ xxx

  5. Sashadolluk is such a joy to visit and like you there are dolls that I like to scroll down to each day to see if they are still there and if so, to say an extra special ‘Hello, and how are you today?’
Unfortunately for me this year has been a very bad year for adopting into the Sasha Brood due to my self imposed New Year resolution in which I got rather carried away by Denise and Simply Sasha’s Sasha resolution suggestions and decided not to buy any new dolls unless they were swapped with another already here! Rest assured I sharn’t be doing that again this January 1st!!!

The same thing that happened to you and Mae happened to me with Miss Lippy many years ago. She just sat …and sat… and sat on Shelly’s for months on end with not an ounce of interest due to the large amount of money the seller was asking for her with her damaged lips… until when in the middle of December I couldn’t bare the thought of her still there, alone and unloved over Christmas so shelled out the two thousand pounds and promised Shelly that I would take extra care of her and feed her a soft diet for as long as was needed. What sentimental souls we are!

Mae’s VS outfit is the perfect colour to compliment her lovely orche eyes.
We here were very fiortunate that the putting back of the UK clocks coincided with our visit to the Cn’S allowing us an extra hour in the morning to sleep in to recover from the exciting, but hectic, day before.
Thanks Mae for your good wishes. We send you ours too.

    • Thank you Kendal for the lovely comments. I am glad your 2016 New Years resolution will not include a Sasha restriction. It should feel like a great weight that is removed from your shoulders. Yes to regaining your freedom of choice! πŸ™‚

I love reading of Miss Lippy’s story and I had no clue that she too lingered on Shelly’s site. She is most fortunate to have been rescued by you and now she is greatly admired by many Sasha collectors including me! She is a true treasure! πŸ™‚

Thank you too for the kind comments for Mae and her new outfit. Mae does look nice in these colors and she likes her beret very much. So happy your extra hour to help after the CnS. Perfect timing! πŸ™‚ xxx
