I Love Lucy

image
Lucy is a most remarkable Sasha doll. I bought her from a UK seller on facebook who had rerooted a previous Gregor doll to create Lucy. Β  Later last summer, I took Lucy to the Sasha Festival in Phoenix and Lucy was then repainted by the very talented hands of Cassie Rogers. πŸ™‚

The amazing cumulative result of the rerooting and repainting work you see here in the lovely Lucy. πŸ™‚

Lucy is wearing a sunny checked dress that is unlabeled. Her sunny dotted socks were made by the talented Sharon Humphreys and her fun, orange leather shoes were made by Jean Jensen. πŸ™‚

Lucy has a furry friend here at Sasha Shangri-La that she is very fond of and loves to hug! πŸ™‚ xxx

Lucy has won many hearts here on the farm. ❀

And Fozzie Bear is one of those hearts. ❀

A last photo of Lucy today. We both thank you for stopping by the blog and we are sending you happy wishes for the rest of your week to come. πŸ™‚

Note: Lucy has been by my bedside during my recent recovery time and I have really enjoyed her sweet face looking my way.  Her sunny outfit and beautiful face really helped to cheer me up.  I love Lucy! ❀  xxx

  1. Spectacular repaint. Hope you’re feeling better now. Spring has arrived here, and Lucy would fit right in with my Daffodils.

    • Hi Julie and thank you for the nice comments! I am feeling much better, thank you! It just took longer than I had hoped to get back in the saddle! I did think of daffodils when I put this dress on Lucy but mine are all gone now. I would love to see yours! I will have to be much more timely next year to capture them on film! πŸ™‚ xxx

  2. She’s lovely Ginger,
I think she has an more grown up look to her face – quite serious, clearly a responsible little nurse.
I hope you are feeling better and that the better weather returning will help you to mend.

    • Thanks Rosie! Lucy is the best little nurse and she has helped me to smile. :). I am so much better and really appreciate your well wishes. The trees are starting to bloom now and I can see the redbud trees blooming from my window. πŸ™‚ xxxx

    • Thanks Laura! So glad you like the addition of Fozzie Bear to the post. I have been a Fozzie fan since the days when the Muppet Show was a weekly TV event and I just loved him—still do! ❀ xxx

  3. Lucy is really lovely, I remember when you got her. I love her all in yellow, what a pretty colour it is on her, she suits the brightness perfectly πŸ™‚ I am glad that she was around to keep you company and help you recover from your sickness Ginger πŸ™‚
Big hugs Sharon in Spain xxx

    • Hi Sharon! Thank you for the lovely comments. I think the yellow suits her well too. I will take her outdoors when a nice sunny day comes along but the scenery will not be as fabulous as your ocean scenes with the beautiful Skye!!! Lucy really did cheer me up and was a great companion! πŸ™‚ xxx

  4. Ginger she’s lovely, was she a Harlequin originally? Whoever she was she’s lovely with her bobbed hair (which I love) and her lovely repainted eyes, she suits yellow beautifully ❀ x

    • Hi Louise! Lucy was a Gregor in “her” first life! I love her bobbed cut too plus her nice side part which makes her a bit different. Thank you for your kind comments and I, too, love the way Cassie painted her eyes! ❀ xxx

      • I’m a wally, I’d missed the fact she was a reroot, hence thinking she could only be a bobbed Harlequin, thank you for straightening me up πŸ™‚ Lucy is indeed lovely with a pretty name too x

  5. She’s wonderful Ginger. I love her eyes! Cassie is very talented, what a wonderful girl to own.
Loving her yellow dress and pink shoes a great combo. Many thanks for sharing :)xxx

    • Thank you Dee! Cassie is very talented indeed and I am loving her black “toddler” she recently revealed on facebook. Wonderful talent! So glad you enjoyed this post. See you in the Village or back here on the Farm or both! ❀ xxx

  6. She’s so pretty in that yellow too! I really have to work on my face-painting skills, Cassie did a great job on her.

  7. Glad to hear you are feeling better now Ginger! I can see why you love Lucy…she is super πŸ™‚
I am a Fozzie Bear fan too…the Muppets was my favourite TV show ….

  8. ‘I’ love Lucy TOO….both yours and the old TV Show!
Our customised dolls are so unique and very special and bring out the love and admiration in us. (Fab re-rooting of the Gregor by the US previous owner and beautiful eye painting by Cassandra.)
The yellow Gingham dress is the perfect colour for her, bringing out her brightness and loveliness and particularly like the yellow/white spotted socks against the checked dress material.
She must have such a kind/caring nature to have stayed and nursed you all though your latest illness.
We here are so pleased that you are well again.

    • Yeah Kendal, so glad you love Lucy too! I did think of the wonderful TV show with Lucy and Ricky Ricardo when I titled this post. My full given name is Lucile Virginia and I grew up being called Lucile or Lucy by many teachers during early roll calls. Of course once my nick name was known, I would be called Ginger by my teachers. Interesting enough, my husband is Rick and I call him Ricky. So we enjoy knowing that we are Ricky and Lucy in name and we both grew up watching “I Love Lucy” and watch even today when possible. πŸ™‚

My Lucy is very kind and has taken excellent care of me along with Ricky. It is so nice to feel better! I think the yellow color is perfect for Lucy too. I am growing more and more fond of her and really appreciate her beautiful, cheery bedside manner. I thank you for the kind well wishes. ❀ xxx
