Max

The last thing I expected to see was this wonderful brunette Gregor available on ebay. He was so wonderfully dressed and available with a buy it now—–so—–well——-I bought him now or should I say immediately! I had just purchased Lewis a few days earlier so, call me crazy, but I did not hesitate a second to purchase another fine brunette lad. As soon as I removed him from the box, my heart connected with his sweet face and I thought, “He is just the greatest boy” and so I named him Max. Please meet Max πŸ™‚

A closer look at Max. His outfit fits perfectly.

Max came wearing these well made leather boots by Jean Jensen. He is strung well too and poses nicely. His previous owner took excellent care of him πŸ™‚

This photo was taken by the ebay seller. Max is very playful and athletic too πŸ™‚

I was very interested in knowing who made this nice boy’s outfit and fortunately, there is a maker’s tag, “Helena Doll Fashions”. I am not familiar with Helena and I hope to find more of her creations.

Max’s vest is made of the same material as his socks. He is holding his hat so we can see his nice mop of non-falling hair. I checked Max’s stringing and it dates him to a 1972-1973 manufacture.

A couple of close-up photos.

Max’s eyes have some very nice hand detailing. I think he is very handsome.

Max again looking smart and he fits in perfectly here with the boys and girls at Sasha Shangri-La. Max and I hope you have a wonderful week πŸ™‚

  1. He is another darling Boy Ginger πŸ™‚ Do you not find that sometimes these Sasha and Gregor’s just appear together and you just have to make that bid or press that BIN button.
Love his outfit, it looks very well make and suits him well. Congratulations on another lovely boy πŸ™‚
    xx

  2. lovely boy he has the look of a gregor sport …. maybe its an early dollipatch outfit as I think her name is Helena , I might be quite wrong though as I do tend to pull info from nowhere and only 50% of the time am I right !! xxxx

  3. Another winsome boy, Ginger! I think they come in threes so watch for another one…. Max has the most engaging eyes; they are so large and well outlined irises. Outstanding. His clothing fits him and his personality so well, it is understandable why you hit the “buy it now” button! πŸ™‚

    xxoo

  4. A really beautiful and well made outfit your boy is wearing! It is from dollipatch – some years ago, when Helena started selling Sasha clothes on ebay, I purchased some of them. The label is exactly the same – I am sure your boy’s clothes were made by Helena. Lucky you! :-)))

    • Thank you Lorraine, it is a real treat that his hair is stable. This comment was waiting for approval. I think your earlier comments were made under murielmakes and pre approved. Now both are approved. πŸ™‚

  5. Hmm…worked that time so I will try again with my real comment. Lovely boy as the others have said. As you know I think the lads are pretty special and Max is no exception. Extra bonus that he has non-falling hair. Fabulous outfit that looks great on him.

  6. Both the doll and outfit were most definitely uncontrollably IRRESISTIBLE! You had NO choice here but to press the BIN button or else you would have been regretting it for the rest of your life!

(I’m thinking like Sarah that the outfit is by Helena of Dolliepatch……though don’t remember her using those metal fastening studs on any of my outfits of hers….but unfortunately my memory is fading fast! Very lucky you!)

    • Oh thank you Kendal, I was hoping for some BIN support and you are so right, I would have regretted missing Max forever. He would have been the one that got away, thank goodness that did not happen!

You are also correct about Dolliepatch’s Helena. It is my first outfit by her and it is fantastic! I am very, very happy that BIN brought me the great Max, a fab outfit by Helena, and fab JJ boots! πŸ™‚
