Today is very snowy outside and cold, brrrrrr, so I stayed home and thought I’d post to the blog. I have three 1968 fringe girls that have made their way to Sasha Shangri-La in the last few years.
The first fringe girl is the lovely Faith. She is wearing a pretty dress with pinny along with her socks and shoes all from Ruthsdolls. Β I love Faith’s vivid blue eyes and her fringe has blended with her hair over time. Β I have not tried to tease it out because I like it this way for now. Β Faith was my first fringe girl and was made in early 1968. I love her expression which is unforgettable to me.
The second fringe girl is Fara and she is different than Faith. Her eyes are smaller and her hair styling is wonderful with nice fringe. Also, her hair is full and bouncy and is cut in different layers. Fara is wearing a pretty smocked dress made by Ruthsdolls and pink suede shoes by Jean Jensen (JJ). I love Fara’s sweet expression.
Last, but not least, is Faye who came to Sasha Shangri-La in September 2013 and so she is a newcomer. Faye’s eyes are delicate and beautiful. She has multi-stroke brows and I can imagine the artist used a very fine brush when painting her eyes. Faye has nice fringe and her hair is not as full as Fara’s but it is full enough. Faye is wearing a pretty smocked apple dress by Molly. It has wonderful crocheted trimming on the cuffs and even on the hem of her pants (she is too shy to show them ;). Her bone colored, leather shoes are from Cassie at Sashapotamus and they fit perfectly. Faye has a beautiful, sophisticated expression.
The fringe girls with their teddy bears and Baby Ginger with her sock monkey. Baby wears a darling smocked dress made by Diane and it has a charming, playful scene. This dress was a nice surprise in a back-to-school swap held by Lorraine last Fall. Baby Ginger’s sock monkey was a Christmas gift from her Mommy and she wrapped her monkey in the wrapping ribbon and reindeer pin as a loving keepsake.
They are gorgeous! And beautifully dressed too!
Thank you, it is such fun to collect and mix and match the outfits with the dolls . π
I love the 68 single fringe girls and these three are beautiful. I love their dresses, they suit them beautifully.
Thanks Dee! I love them too. All three dresses I “inherited” from Shelly’s site π
I am really enjoying your blog, Ginger. Such lovely dolls; all of them! They really reflect your love for them in their poses and outfits.

Thank you Nancy! I do enjoy the Sashas and I look forward to sharing them π
Beautiful girls! Their dresses are really lovely and I love the way they are colour co-ordinated. Gill
Thank you, it is fun to dress the girls in pretty dresses. They do get more attention than the boys most days π
I do like the girls the best I must admit. Gill
Me too though I wouldn’t say that around the boys especially Finn who is dear to me. I think he can tell though because he is very outnumbered by the girls and their outfits too. It is a good thing that he likes the girls π
Three stunningly beautiful girls in equally gorgeous dresses. Lovely to read about each of them.
Thank you Lorraine! So good to see you here!
What a beautiful threesome of fringe girls you have there, Ginger, and all so individual. Thanks so much for sharing them! It’s pouring with rain here as I read your blog and you’ve certainly brightened up my afternoon for me!!
Thank you Sharon! The snow stopped here and temperatures went down to zero earlier today. It is so nice to have Sashas brighten our days π
Three stunningly beautiful girls that are featured here today. Each one so different from the other but displaying the 1968 trade marks. Great to see them all grouped together for comparison. Lovely that they are all ‘in the pink’ so to speak! Very lucky you!
Thank you Kendal, I am very fortunate to have these young ladies here at Sasha Shangri-La! So nice of you to visit π
