2016 Sasha Festival – More

Image

I thought it would be interesting to show items that were well used during the festival  plus a few, wonderful wins!

image

My paddle #35 was a great paddle.  It was used for the auction and the number 35 was my number for the helper and raffle drawings.  A lucky number for me! 🙂

image

The agenda, paper dolls, a coloring book and a cook book (not shown) were nice items to find in your envelope.  Also, the back of the paddle is a dear Sasha Image to color…thank you Cathy Himmel for the coloring opportunities.  Dorisanne Osborne put the cook book together with receives submitted by fellow Sasha collectors. 🙂

Sheila wrote a nice thank you note for helping with the festival as a table hostess.  You might have noticed a cherry dotted box.  What is that?

image

This box and its contents were donated by the very talented and generous lady, Christine Durand.  The hostess volunteer numbers were drawn to win this box and #35 was drawn! I was so surprised! 🙂

image

Inside is a gorgeous dress and a beautiful bunch of fragrant lavender from Christine’s garden.  🙂

image

How lovely!  The second apron is lovely and I love the blue gingham fabric which gives a special nod to our Sashas. ❤️

image

The very pretty blouse and the special petticoat make for a perfect Sasha outfit.  I feel very blessed to have won such a special prize. ❤️

Helpers

image

Some of the helper wins.  Some of the helper wins were gifted to others. 🙂

Gift Exchange

image

This lovely coat with two hats was a lucky gift exchange win.  Made by Esther Kardini. 🙂

Auction

image

I won 3 auction items.  The first is this wonderful set donated by Diane Duke (mini Kaffe cardigan), Judith of Dollydoodles (trousers), and Noreen (gold leather shoes). Fantastic!

image

The second win was this box which contains the festival items from the 2013 festival..  That was my first Sasha festival and a wonderful memory. 🙂

image

The light blue dress with lovely smocking and hearts was made by Millie Dingham.  Both outfits have shoes and socks and the studio dress has black leather shoes made by Jean Jensen. The outfits that I brought home in 2013 were different from these outfits.  It was so nice to win this auction. 🙂

My third auction win will be shown in the next post modeled by the newest member of the Sasha Shangri-La family. ❤️

Thank you for visiting with us today.  Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂 xxx

2016 Sasha Festival – Janet’s Sasha Doll Project Display and Raffles

Image

At the 2016 Sasha Festival, Janet gave a lovely talk about how she came to create her Sasha Doll Project and her inspiration from Sasha doll books.  She created their outfits, fashioned the wigs, rerooted some, and her talented hands repainted all of them. It was wonderful to see them all together for the first time and wonderful for Janet to see this reunion. 😊

Janet received kind support and encouragement from Beth Whiehouse and get mother Elizabeth Mizerek, Anne Votaw, Laura Ward, and from Sheila Foery.  Plus the owners of the dolls who graciously sent or brought their dolls to be displayed.  Many thanks to everyone who helped to make this display happen. 🙂

I am so happy to have seen Janet’s beautiful dolls all together and in person.  Thanks again to everyone supporting this lovely display and special thanks to Janet for bringing many of the dolls over in her suitcase so that they would be a part of the Festival. ❤

RAFFLES

image

image

The first raffle was just wonderful and included two babies, beds, furniture, clothing, and cuddly things.  Francine Briggs won this raflle! Congratulations Francine! 🙂

The second raffle was a fantastic Maria Gotz doll in the tube with many accessories to include shoes, socks, purses, folding chair, basket, quilt, outfits and a lovely note from a lovely lady that had also won the doll with all of her items in a raffle long ago.  Very, very touching to see Sasha history in this raffle.<3

Plus, I won this raffle!  I was so surprised and it is the first raffle I have ever won!

A raffle winner in disbelief! 🙂

This wonderful raffle featuring “Peter” was won by Robert McGarity. 🙂

The lovely 4th raffle with a beautiful doll and wardrobe.  I understand that one of the young girls won the 4th raffle but I do not have a name.

Thank you for visiting the blog today and I hope you enjoyed the photos.  Next time, I will share different festival events and gatherings and a lot of wonderful studio doll photos.  Have a great week! 🙂 xxx

2016 Sasha Festival Auction Items

Image

I will try to catch up on the lovely Festival events.  There were 82 auction items plus nine more added at the end.  Most of the dolls in the photos were models only. However, items # 16, 23, 33, 43, 51, 61, 69, 76, and 82 included the dolls and everything you see. I apologize for any gaps in the lineup as I took my photos early on. Plus the items added at the end were after I took the photos.  The generosity of our lovely Sasha friends is just wonderful and what a special group of people.  A lot of money was raised for the children’s charity!   I had a wonderful time. 🙂

The next post will be raffle items and Janet’s display of her amazing Sasha Studio doll renditions. ❤️
