Sasha doll collector primarily plus other interesting dolls. I inheirited my love of dolls from my dear Mother and also her collection. My first Sasha doll was Gwennie, a redheaded studio doll. Since Gwennie, I have collected other Sasha dolls and love their individual personalities created by their eye painting, hair color and styling, and dressing them. It is such fun to share with other collectors!

Santa Swap Revealed by Finn

Finn is so happy today! He opened all the Santa Swap gifts that came all of the way from the UK.  Finn is sending hugs and thanks to Rosie Laird for her thoughtfulness on behalf of Santa!!! Here you see the fantastic cabled sweater jacket with hood. The buttons are each a different item used outdoors and just perfect for the outdoor-loving Finn! The skate board was a gift for the boys here at Sasha Shangri-La and is certain to be used a lot. 🙂

This beautiful ornament was a gift for Mum and is a dazzling Balleek snowflake that will be front and center on our Christmas tree!

As you can see, Finn also received a warm knitted hat, scarf, socks, and mittens that are just wonderful! 🙂

I think these orange tones are Finn’s best colors especially when combined with the blue colors.

Santa Swap Gifts and Finn

We received a lovely package this week from the Santa Swap. Just posting a couple of photos of Finn with the pretty packages.  Two of the packages are just for Finn!  His pup, Fetch is wearing a very sweet ornament.  Finn and Fetch are very excited! 🙂

The beauty of a Sasha Morgenthaler studio doll is what first brought me to the wonderful world of collecting Sasha dolls.

This beauty is a Sasha studio doll with a “B” type, cloth body and a “III” type facemask. Her name is “Marie” and I never tire of looking at her beautiful, unique eyes, lovely expression and perfect human hair wig. ❤

Marie came with this original Sasha outfit.  It is a wonderful color for her.

Hi everyone! Mummy is in the kitchen again and it sure smells wonderful here at Sasha Shangri-La.  With Mummy away, it’s time for another “Gracie” blog post!  We received a big, wonderful box from Thu Cuc Faes wo lives in Switzerland.  Mummy was so happy to get this box and look at my new outfit that was found inside! 🙂

He is so big and strong.  Bennie told me that God made him strong to help others that are weaker. I know this is true, I can feel it in my heart. ❤

He promised to take me outdoors to ride the sled when we get a good snow. I can’t wait to have fun in the snow. 🙂

Abby’s Happy Christmas Dress

Abby is very happy to show you her beautiful new dress made by the very talented Thu Cuc Faes. The dress was made for Abby as a Christmas present! ❤

Abby loves her new dress and the beautiful red leather shoes with white knitted socks!  Her pink teddy bear is just happy to be at Abby’s side. 🙂

Abby is an early studio doll and her lovely facial features were hand painted by Sasha Morgenthaler herself.  Her yarn wig is original to her and found on some of the early studio dolls.  Her body type is “A” and the same body type that was used years later during the production of the Course dolls from 1970-1993. ❤
