My Boy Max

image
When I left California, I left a blonde Gregor in the very talented hands of Cassie Rogers. The boy would be cleaned, repainted and hair dyed. Plus, Cassie perfectly outfitted him.  Please meet the very handsome, green eyed, freckle faced Max. 🙂

Another full length photo of Max. 🙂

Cassie dressed Max wonderfully with green t-shirt, distressed jeans, and brown leather boy boots. He has a hat too that is shown in other photos. I absolutely love Max and his outfit!

Nice stitching and maker’s tag.

Max is an outdoors boy and he is having fun with Dad’s new fishing boat.

Max is so excited to see the boat’s motor. 🙂

Max waves to his new family.  He is a very happy boy! 🙂

Max said he thinks this motor is really big!

What a great day! Max likes his hat very much, thank you Auntie Cassie! 🙂

One day soon there will be a fishing pole in each white tube. Max wants to learn to fish too!

Little boys just love to be behind the wheel. 🙂

What a happy boy! 🙂

Max by the motor.  Dad will be placing the seat on the pole soon.  He wanted to give it a good cleaning first. 🙂

  1. What a super boy, doesn’t he look fabulous. Would have been great to have also seen his ‘before’ photo. Love the wrist tag, what an excellent idea!

He certainly looks like he is good fun and is looking forward to going out on the boat.

You must undoubtedly be thrilled with him.

    • Hi Lorraine and thank you! I don’t think I have a before photo but I will ask Cassie and Laura. He was a late 70’s or early 80’s blonde boy with stamped blue eyes. We were taking a lot of photos while visiting California and stayed very busy. I am thrilled with Max and if I find a before photo, I will post it. 🙂 xxx

  2. I love what Cassie’s done to his eyes and hair ! 🙂 And his clothes just finish his look perfectly. He now looks like a proper boy, a tough lad with a strong personality. Love his boots too!
What a lovely lad to return back home to Mum and Dad, ready to help with all those jibs that need a strong pair of hands! :)xxx

    • Hi Dee and thank you! Max is a very nice boy and a strong boy too. I have a feeling he will be a great fisherman. He loves the outdoors so I think he will be Daddy’s helper too! I am so glad he is here with us! 🙂 xxx

  3. What a lovely boy Ginger, I love his green eyes, they are really pretty and his freckles too. I am sure all the girls will be swooning over him! And a bit of an adventurer too….can’t be bad! 🙂

    • Thank you Sharon. I love his green eyes too—very different and so nice to see on a boy! So far, Max has been moving around a lot on the farm and has not noticed the girls BUT the girls have noticed him! Tassie and Sammie, also repainted by Cassie, were with Max in California. In fact, Sammie has been with Max for years. So it is nice they are still together. 😉

  4. What an incredibly handsome new OOAK boy! Lucky Max to be adopted into such a wonderful new family and lucky Sasha Mama to have another great Sasha kid to add to your fantastic family! I hope Max gets to take a ride on the new boat with his dad and maybe with some of his other brothers too. Oooh, he really is a looker; he may be one of my favorites of your new kids! All the girls here at Fern Forest (Woods) are just swooning over him, and the boys think that he is “totally awesome!”

His makeover is just fantastic! I think that is some of the best work I have ever seen! Does Ms. Rogers take commissions? If I ever get my hands on a likely waif, I would love to take advantage of her incredible talents.

I just absolutely love your Sasha Family! You have such an amazing group of treasures over there, and I am delighted to see a fellow Sasha lover who has had such wonderful good fortune to get such a fabulous collection!

I just love following your blog and enjoying all your beautiful dolls. Thank you for sharing.

Hugs and kisses to you all (especially to Max from the Fern Forest Girls!)

Elisabeth (Mami) and the Fern Forest Dolls

    • Hi Elisabeth and thank you for your very kind comments. I think Max is very special too. Cassie is so talented and she also has a shop on Etsy. I do think she would accept a commission when you find that waif that needs a new life. I would recommend that you write to her through her shop and ask about her about her repaintings. 🙂

I really appreciate your kind words about the Sasha family here at Sasha Shangri-La. I am very blessed and really enjoy the Sasha dolls, dressing them, and writing about them too. It is very fulfilling and brings me a lot of joy. 🙂

I hope you and your family at Fern Forest have a wonderful holiday weekend. Max sends his best regards to you all and especially the girls! 😉 xxx

  5. Max is certainly a fab lad! Love his hair colour and eye painting not to mention his outfit.

These customised Sasha Dolls have always appealed to me, in fact at one point I nearly decided to curtail my whole collection to only these unique and special dolls. (Looking around I think that a third of my dolls are either waifs, customised with OOAK eye painting or with trimmed/bobbed, re-rooted or wigged. hair )
A superb new male member handsomenly standing out amongst all those pretty new girls.

    • Hi Kendal and thank you for the very kind comments for my boy Max. The repaints and different hair styles and colors appeal to me too. We are very fortunate to have such talented and gifted artists in our Sasha world. It is very special to have these unique dolls in our Sasha families. ❤

I have enjoyed seeing your waifs and unique dolls on your blog over the years. It is amazing to see how the change of a wig or hair style can make such a big difference in our Sasha's appearance. Your blog has inspired so many Sasha collectors, including me! 🙂

It is so nice to hear from you and I hope you have a wonderful day and week to come! ❤ xxx

  6. Max is so “Boy” and charming. Cassie did a wonderful job. Hope you, hubby, and Max are out in the boat today, celebrating the 4th and having a great weekend, too.

    • Hi Anne! I agree, Cassie created an awesome boy in Max! Thank you for the kind words and the good wishes for this holiday weekend. We have not made it out in the boat yet due to so much raining, on and off each day. But, we will soon! 🙂 xxx
