My grandmother’s name was Adeline and I have always loved the name “Adeline”. It was also my mother’s middle name. This is the first time that I have been so moved to name a Sasha doll in memory of my grandmother and my Mother. It was an immediate heart connection. ❤
Adeline is a 1967 brunette NP that I was very fortunate to find on Shelly’s site. When I first unwrapped her and saw her sweet face, I just instantly connected with Adeline. <3. One brunette NP has lived here at Sasha Shangri-La for years now and her name is Chloe. She is a 1966 girl and she has a very different, unique look so we are very happy to adopt sweet Adeline. 🙂
Adeline is wearing a lovely outfit also found on Shelly’s site and made by Sashadollstyle. I love the fabric and pretty butterflies and perfect blue trim. The outfit came with the dress, detachable belt, pants, socks, leather shoes, and headband. I did not put the headband on her this time since I like Adeline’s hair style the way it is, at least for now. 🙂
Adeline enjoying her new outfit.
We went outdoors to take photos of Adeline wearing a very pretty dress made by JoAnn Staricha.
JoAnn showed this pretty dress and coat set on facebook and took orders so I signed up! JoAnn lives in the USA and her well made outfit came quickly in the mail. I ordered it with Adeline in mind. 🙂
Another view of the pretty dress.
The outfit came with the shorts and a pretty top too.
Adeline really likes her new clothes. She arrived wearing her original gingham dress and was most ready for a change. We put her gingham outfit safely away for another day.
JoAnn’s maker’s tag is sewn in the coat and the hood is lined with the dress fabric–wonderful! JoAnn also sent a pretty butterfly hair clip and a cheery thank you card. Adeline is fast becoming a lover of butterflies. 🙂
A last photo for today of sweet Adeline. She is very special to me. Adeline and I are sending you hugs and we wish you a very wonderful week to come! 🙂 xxx
Ginger she is gorgeous! She has such a unique face and her eyes! wonderful ! Love her hair especially styled that way. It’s lovely when you receive a Sasha etc that you connect with on opening the box ! Only a few have that instant hook to the heart and Adeline does have a look that would tug at your heart!
Love the butterfly dress outfit perfect for her and I have always thought that the brunettes look so good in red!
A wonderful addition to her family Ginger, congratulations 🙂
Oh thank you Dee!!! I really enjoyed dressing her and it’s fun to try different types of clothes. I have to say that it was love at first sight! You are burning the night oil, aren’t you? I really appreciate you stopping by and sharing such nice comments! 🙂 xxx
A very striking girl Ginger, and very special to give her such a wonderful name. I love her blue dress, it is just beautiful with the blue accents and suits her so well. Of course red always looks great on brunettes as well and the dress by JoAnn is no exception. Congratulations on her arrival.
Hi Lorraine and thank you!! Adeline is very photogenic too. I am trying to improve and vary my photos and it is so nice to go outdoors these days and stay longer to take more thought-out photos. The weather has been cooler and I love it! 🙂 xxx
Adeline has absolutely wonderful eye painting and I simply love the outdoor photos against your very pretty rural scenery.
Photographing our dolls is a truly enjoyable and rewarding pastime especially when you look back at them in years to come and indulge in a little spot of remembering that particular time.
Another super member added to your ever-increasing Sasha Doll collection. I can hardly keep up with them!)
Hi Kendal and thank you! I am so very happy to adopt Adeline and I love her eye painting too. I really enjoy taking the photos outdoors. The images are much clearer and more interesting plus you get to be outdoors which is so nice this time of year.
I have super-stretched the dolly dollars once again to add Adeline to the family. In the past when I would invest in a special Sasha, I used to try to tell myself that I would take a ” break” and wait a long while before splurging on another Sasha. But, then another beauty would come along during the ” break” time and I would not be able to resist. I am going to try once again to take a break and to allow the bank book to recover….we will see 🙂 xxx
Wonderful photo’s of a very pretty young lady. Adeline is gorgeous Ginger, lucky you xx
Thank you Theresa! Yes, I am very lucky and happy too! I look forward to dressing Adeline and trying different outfits on her. Great fun! 🙂 xxx
Wow, what an amazing looking girl. I love her. That first dress is so pretty too.
Thank you! So nice of you to visit and I am glad you liked Adeline! 🙂 xxx
Adeline is just beautiful and you have given her a perfect name. I love her outfits too, the blue one with the butterflies especially as the style seems fitting for an Adeline. Thank you for sharing her with us Ginger, she is a darling.
Thanks Janet, I think so too! The name just suits her. I look forward to photographing her in some Fall fashions! Have a great, inspiring week! 🙂 xxx
Ginger, what an absolutely beautiful girl, I love her!!!! And you’ve named her and dressed her so perfectly too! I love both outfits, the red set is perfect with the circles, are they the Sasha logos? It certainly looks like it! What a perfect choice of fabric!
I’m so glad that you felt such a strong connection to your new girl that you named her after your grandmother and mum, that’s such a lovely thing to do!
Bighugs Sharon in Spain x
Hi Sharon! Thank you so much! I think it does look like Sasha logos too. JoAnn found it in a fabric store in Minnesota, USA. Cool, you just never know where great fabric will be discovered :). Adeline is a perfect addition here at Sasha Shangri-La! 🙂 xxx
