2014 Sasha Festival in Phoenix, Arizona

This wonderful book was given to the Festival attendees and its cover art is by Phyllis Goedeke.  It is full of great articles, tributes, patterns, tabletop clinic information, a directory, a crossword puzzle, and a fun word search. I haven’t read it yet but I will soon. The paddle was for the auction. There were 91 auction items–all very nice!  I did photograph some of them with my camera phone and the room was not brightly lit so please keep that in mind when you view these photos. I am certain you will be able to see better photography in other blogs. 🙂

The next three photos are the fabulous raffles that were drawn on Sunday morning and presented to three lucky winners 🙂

A very special delight was a Sasha studio doll brought to the Festival by a very lovely lady. It was her childhood doll and the beautiful wig was her hair that was cut at that time. I thought the doll looked like her Mommy even today. What a treasure!

A couple photos to show some helpers. There were so many helpers that they split them in half and gave them to the winners over two days.

A very nice Sasha image gifted by Cathy Himmel to everyone. 🙂

A photo of Finn in awe of Sashas owned by Heidi and Sheila 🙂

A  photo of Lorraine’s beautiful Stevie with Finn. Stevie has incredible streaking in her hair–just a beautiful girl 🙂

A view from the balcony of the amazing Arizona landscape plus the great hotel pool.  A golf course and driving range were next to the hotel.

A nice photo of Cassandra Roger’s handsome NP boy, Felix with Finn.

  1. Thanks for showing your pictures of the Festival. I love seeing other collectors’ dolls and the amazing array of raffle items.

  2. Camera phone or not, you are the first person to show photos of the raffle dolls for this festival on your blog, it is good to catch a glimpse of the festival from your (and Finn’s) perspective.

  3. Many thanks for downloading these festival photos so quickly for us,sad ‘stay-at-homers’ to view. We are always anxiously waiting to see just what super things that we have had to miss! So pile on the agony!
Off to have yet another look and another regretful sigh!

  4. It’s great to see your Festival photos. The raffle and auction items look great, did you win any? How I would have liked to have been there!!! Love Gill xx

    • Hi Gill :). I did win a few auction and helper items but did not win a raffle. It is a lot of fun to see the winner’s faces when they win. Very exciting and I wish you were there too! Someday, we will meet :). Love, Ginger xx

  5. Thank you for all the lovely pics and comments Ginger. Would love to have fun with you! Was that little cream pram an actual auction item or just a prop? xxx Tons of love from Sarah and her Sashas xx

    • Hi dear Sarah :). That auction item included everything you see–the doll, the pram, and the baby. It was donated by the lovely Dawn Law. I hope we can both go to the same Festival one day. I will be at the next UK Festival. It would be lovely to meet you 🙂 Love, Ginger xx

  6. What a great bunch of photos of the festival, thanks so much for sharing them Ginger! It certainly looks like you had a great time! And what a lot of great raffle prizes there were!!!
    Big hugs Sharon xxx
