The last post introduced the beautiful Gloria. See below.

I have learned more about Gloria. Her head is an early mold and there are no root holes. I have redressed her for our cold weather and removed her red wig which was pinned-on and so much easier to remove as compared to glue. Here are a couple of photos of Gloria wigless so you can see her close up. It is interesting to see the head mold design.

Her eye painting, by Janet Myhill Dabbs, is exceptionally beautiful. I have fallen in love with Gloria. I have a few extra doll wigs here at Sasha Shangri-la and many were from my Mother’s collection that I inherited. So, I found a wonderful, blonde, human hair wig that I think really suits Gloria well. Here are some photos of her happy transformation. 🥰

I am thrilled with Gloria’s new look! She is wearing a lovely smocked, floral, long-sleeved dress made by Millie Dingham. It was a special gift from a dear friend. 🩷 Her pink shoes were made by Jean Jensen (JJ). I took a few full length photos of her for you to see.

Gloria and I want to thank you for visiting Sasha Shangri-la today and sharing in our happiness. We wish you a wonderful week to come. 🥰

A sneak peek of a few happy Sasha babies, toddlers, and NPs in the cabinet here on Cow Creek. 🌹
She is wonderful! Her eyes draw you in. I just fell in love with her, too 😍
Thank you JoAnn. Her eyes do draw you in! Mesmerizing! I am definitely in love with Gloria. Many very happy memories come together with this dear girl. ❤️
How interesting to see her head without the rooting holes.
I love her new wig, it suits her even more than the one she came in, and that was lovely.
A Beautiful dress along with cardigan, gives her a lovely soft winter look.
I agree Dee. I hadn’t seen an early head mold before. I have seen one of the later limited edition head molds but they are different than this mold having a philtrum and markings .
I love this wig too. It really accentuates her eyes and is perfect. It feels like a gift from my Mom coming from her wig stash though she has been gone over 20 years now. I think of her all the time. So Gloria is a wonderful blend of gifts and talents of loved ones near and dear to me. ❤️
I really love her new hairstyle, she looks like she belongs in the 1960s. Her dress is so pretty.
Thank you Viv. I love her hairstyle too. The dress was a gift from a dear friend. It was made by Millie Dingham who passed away this past year. I was blessed to meet Millie and talked with her at several different Sasha Festivals. She was a wonderful lady. This dress is so nice with its long sleeves plus the smocking on the front and the back of the dress. The fabric is pretty. I am glad you like it too. 🥰
Gloria is glorious! She looks so different in her new wig, it suits her and she is so beautifully dressed. Thank you for giving her such care ❤
Thank you Janet. She is a beautiful girl that has captured my heart. I love your painting that has brought her to life! She is absolutely wonderful and so special. ❤️
Am still struggling to leave replies to your blog posts. Hoping that my daughter can put me right about this when she visits at Christmas.
Just ADORE this doll!
Happy Christmas.
Sasha love for now from me and my Brood Remainers. xx
Thank you Kendal for writing. It posted well. I am happy you like Gloria too. She has captured my heart. Not since Gertie have I been so smitten! Happy Christmas to you and your brood remainers. Much love to you. ❤️
I love that wig on her and her outfit is beautiful xx
Thank you Tricia. I am grateful for this special gift. 🥰
Happy New Year Ginger! My goodness such beautiful girls here!
Happy New Year dear Cathy! I am so glad you like seeing the dolls. 🥰
Having a difficult time leaving a message.
I think your Gloria is very lovely, Ginger. The blonde wig suits her.
Thanks Cathy. Gloria is a treasure to be sure. I keep her where I can see her often. 🥰
