Gertie sends her joyful wishes to you and your family for a very happy Christmas. 😊
Gertie loves her baby Dimples made by Janet Myhill-Dabbs and gifted to her by her twin sister Edith. ❤️
We had a lovely Christmas here at Sasha Shangri-La. Gertie especially likes the Christmas tree. We were delayed this year with putting up our tree due to the wonderful wedding festivities in early December for our son Luke and his lovely bride, Mollie.
Next, on the following week, my other son moved out to his first, new home that he has bought and my husband Rick helped him with the move. During the week following the move, my retirement celebration at work occurred along with our office Christmas party.
So all of our holiday fun has happened in the last week or so. I am sadly behind on blogging and commenting on other blogs too. Hopefully the new year will bring me to a happy blogging state again. 😊
Photos of Gertie by the tree. 🎄
Edith, Gertie’s sister sent Gertie this Santa tin for Christmas and inside was a peppermint stick and a tiny stuffed mouse. Gertie was delighted! 😊
Good things do come in small packages! Thank you Edith. 🎁
“I am having a wonderful Christmas holiday!” Gertie shared. ❤
Gertie and I want to thank you for visiting with us today. We wish you a very happy Christmas holiday week and a very Happy and Healthy New Year in 2017. ❤ xxx
A waterlogue image to enjoy. 🎄
Gertie you look very festive in your red cloak standing by the tree. Sounds like you have had a very busy December Ginger, I hope that you have been able to get some rest over the holidays.

Hi Dee, Gertie sends you a big thank you. 😉 Yes, just starting to unwind now and if feels more like a Christmas vacation. I guess the retirement will really sink in next month. I am looking forward to the leisure very much. Doll time is high on the list for me! Thank you for the lovely wishes! 😊xxx
Gertie looks really ‘Christmassy’ in her red hooded cloak just like a Little Red Riding Hood!
How lovely that she and her twin sister exchange little gifts between them.So sweet!
Absolutely ADORE Gertie’s eye painting!
Thank you both for this great Xmas post and we all here wish you a happy and healthy New Year and a wonderful retirement.
Thank you Kendal. Gertie loves her red velvet cloak and I think she will be wearing it quite a lot in the future. I adore Gertie’s eye painting too. It never ceases to amaze me. Janet is so very talented. 😊

Thank you Lorraine. We had a great Christmas! Santa was very good to us. 😊 xxx
Retirement party – great, that means more time to play with Sasha dolls! I hope you have a long, happy and healthy retirement. Gertie looks very pretty and festive in her cape and pinafore, just right for receiving a gift from her sister far away. Merry Christmas (because it is still Christmastide) and Happy 2017.
Thanks DollMum! I am looking forward to retiring from working outside of home every day. Yes, more doll time for sure! 😊
Thanks too for the happy wishes for Christmas and 2017. I am so excited about the year to come! 😊 xxx
It really has been the most remarkable year for you and your family Ginger and i feel privileged to have been a tiny part of it. I just love Gertie’s cape, what a perfect garment for the season and beyond! I am so glad Gertie liked her Christmas presents from Edith who wants to tell Gertie that the little creature is in fact a hamster. We hope he didn’t nibble at the candy cane during his journey! xxxx
Yes it has been a year of many happy and meaningful changes for our family. I am glad you have been a part of it too!
Gertie is very attached to her gifted mouse but I will relay to her that it is a hamster. The candy cane arrived intact so the hamster must have hibernated during the journey. Gertie misses Edith very much. She sends her love and thanks to you both. ❤ xxx
What a lovely festive post Ginger, I love the red cape on Gertie, she looks like little red riding hood. The lead up to Christmas, for you, sounded wonderful, and now that you are a ‘lady of leisure’ I hope you will have a wonderful retirement!
I hope 2017 is a super year for you and that it brings you nothing but happiness (and other nice things too of course! 😉 )
