Oh JOY It’s Friday! Hello LOU We Welcome You!

Joy is very happy to say hello today. Joy is an early 1966 Trendon NP wearing a pretty dress by Passion for Sasha and a cardigan by Mary Anne Getchell. πŸ™‚

Joy’s shoes and socks are made by Ruthsdolls. πŸ™‚

I think Joy is a lovely girl and I so enjoy braiding her hair. ❀

The sun was not cooperating for these photos but at least it was not raining like it is today!

The little blue bird pin was added because Joy is such a very happy child and the blue bird of happiness visits her often.Β πŸ™‚

She is also a very kind and a serene girl. ❀

I always wonder what she may be thinking about as she gazes off into the distance…..

I think she hears someone coming closer……

Who is it Joy? Who is coming???

“Mommy, look….it’s sweet Lou!” ❀

Hey there Lou!Β  We are so happy to have you joinΒ our family hereΒ on the farm! πŸ™‚

Lou is a recent adoption and she is a 1968 waif Trendon fringe girl. Joy is very, very fond of Lou and is helping her to get to know everyone. πŸ™‚

Lou whispers her thoughts to Joy often. ❀

Lou is a well loved girl which makes her very special to me. All of the love she has received over the years has caused her to be very affectionate. πŸ™‚

She is wearing a pretty yellow checked Ruthsdolls dress and a cardigan sweater by Mary Anne Getchell. πŸ™‚

Lou’s sunny stripy socks and shoes are by Ruthsdolls. ❀

Lou up close. πŸ™‚

Lou’s hair is a bit dry but it has kept a lot of its original curl. πŸ™‚

The lovely Lou. πŸ™‚

Welcome dear one to Sasha Shangri-La! ❀

Lou and Joy both want to thank you for visiting us today. They are sending you hugs and happy wishes for a wonderful weekend. πŸ™‚

Lou and Joy also send happy wishes for the week to come! πŸ™‚ xxx

A couple of waterlogue images for you to enjoy ❀

Bye for now Sasha friends. πŸ™‚

  3. Hello dear little Joy, how lovely you look in your pretty autumnal outfit and thank you for introducing Lou to us. Lou reminds me so much of my own special waif fringe girl called Faith, she has the same quality of my dear Faith and I hope someday soon they both can meet up! ❀ ❀

    • Hello Auntie Janet and tgank you for tge lovely comments. I am happy you like my new outfit and I love introducing sweet Lou. Isn’t it lovely that Lou looks alot like your Faith. It would be wonderful if we all could meet one day! πŸ™‚ xxx

  4. These 1968 Frido Fringe girls have a unique charm and prettiness all of their own. What a wonderful year it must have been in the factory to produce these truly beautiful dolls after their first two years of experimenting with the moulds, hair styles and eye painting.
Minty or waifs they stand out and shine from the rest of the Sasha crowd and your newest recuit, Lou, to the Shagrila fold is no exception! (Loving her wider face too.)
Many thanks to Joy for introducing her to us and befriending her whilst she gets used to her new family and home. Happy wishes to you all too for the coming week.

    • Thank you Kendal and I agree with you about the charm and uniqueness of our 68 girls. I think their eye painting is just wonderful and it is nice when you can add one to the family. Sadly, Lou’s light had been shining under a basket for many years. She was long forgotten and no one could see her. Happily, Lou’s light now shines for us all to see. πŸ™‚

Joy is such a friendly girl and they immediately took to one another. It helps to have a friend when one is in a new place. Thank you for the happy wishes! πŸ™‚ xxx

  5. Two beautiful and incredibly well dressed girls Ginger, thank you so much for sharing Lou and Joy with us. I think they make a very pretty pair with their lovely dresses and smart shoes, and nicely styled hair. It’s great that they are such good friends too πŸ™‚
    Happy Weekend πŸ™‚
    Big hugs Sharon xxx

    • Thank you Sharon! I am love to share these two dear girls with you and it makes me happy to know you enjoyed the post. πŸ™‚

I hope your weekend has been very wonderful! We have sunlight this morning and that has been a real treat. I just captured a few photos outdoors and it felt so good to feel the crisp air on my face along with the sun’s warming rays. πŸ™‚ xxx

  6. JOY and LOU!! Two very wonderful rare Sasha dolls!! I totally adore Joy and those unique eyes. You are so very lucky to have her Ginger, she is absolutely GORGEOUS!! And sweet Lou has a very feminine face with that slight “Mona Lisa” smile. They both compliment each other in your photo shoot, and I have enjoyed reading all bout them here.

    • Hi Cathy and thank you for the lovely comments! Joy’s eyes are very special. I really love the early Sasha eyes. I think you are so right about Lou’s Mona Lisa smile! How wonderful for you to identify it! I am very happy you enjoyed the post! πŸ™‚ xxx
