Mother’s Day Gifts circa 1968 – Part 2

Last year for Mother’s Day, Quinn helped to plant a lovely pink dogwood tree in the front yard. Quinn is a 1968 shorts boy that is always a joy to see. His previous Mom was Ronnie and that makes Quinn extra special to me. Β I always think of Quinn on Mother’s Day. πŸ™‚

Please allow me to introduce Morris. He is also a 1968 shorts boy that IΒ adopted from Laura Ward. Β He is my Mother’s Day present and I am so happy he is here with us πŸ™‚

Quinn and Morris are best buddies! πŸ™‚

Quinn extended the hand of friendship to Morris as soon as he arrived!

Quinn spent time with Morris sharing all the neat things to do here on the farm. Β Let’s go outdoors! πŸ™‚

Quinn looking very handsome by the barn. πŸ™‚

Quinn brought his pup outdoors too!

Quinn is giving Morris a pup of his own! Morris is wearing a fabulous outfit made by Dollydoodles. I love this color of green and I was so lucky to buy it before it flew off of Judith’s site. I bought it just for Morris. ❀

Morris happily accepts the pup! Β He is thinking that he is going to like it here! πŸ™‚

Two happy boys! πŸ™‚

Quinn and Morris invited Audrey to join them! πŸ™‚

A nice group of 1968 children with their pups. ❀

I think these three are going to be best friends! Both Quinn and Morris insisted that Audrey be shown first on Mother’s Day.Β  Quinn said “Ladies first.” πŸ™‚

Back indoors Quinn and Morris photograhed by the Mother’s Day cards and gifts. πŸ™‚

Audrey stood to the side as they were photographed but Quinn and Morris both asked her to join them. πŸ™‚

Here we see the happy trio and I am thrilled that Audrey and Morris are part of the family now. What a super Mother’s Day here at Sasha Shangri-La! πŸ™‚

Thank you for visiting us and we all are sending you hugs and happy wishes for the week to come! πŸ™‚ xxx

p.s. Laura shared this photo with me of Morris that was previously taken by Shelly back when Laura purchased him.Β Β I thought you would like to see him fully in his original outfit. What a nice boy! πŸ™‚

  1. Wow! My Favourite Year and my Favourite boy! The red haired shorts boys are just the best! And what a lovely handsome lad Morris is join his equally handsome new brother Quinn! What a truly wonderful mothers day Ginger not one but two 68’s and both just plain gorgeous!

Love the photo’s in your Dinning room? showing for the pictures and your China in the cupboard ( I love seeing other peoples homes) :)xx

Well if it was me < I'd be smiling all week having these two turn up at my door! Many Thanks for sharing Ginger, you lucky woman!! lol :)xxxx

    • Hi Dee and thank you! Yes, I am very fortunate to add the handsome Morris to the Sasha family. With the unexpected addition of Audrey too, I am doubly fortunate! I really love these 1968 children. ❀

Yes that is our cupboard in the dining area of our eat-in kitchen. I have placed inside some of the dishes that we use but also a few pretty " treasures" that I like to see. It makes me smile. πŸ™‚ xxx

  2. What a gorgeous lad Morris is, his eyes are incredibly beautiful….he and his brother do make a handsome pair, I have to say! And what little gentlemen they are, making sure that not only was Audrey first to be seen on Mothers Day but actually invited her into their photos, to make sure she felt at home and not at all left out! I think these three 1968 kids are going to have a lot of fun together on the farm, as they have started already!

    • Thank you Sharon for the very nice comments about Morris, Quinn and Audrey. I think they will have a great time together and I was so impressed with the boy’s polite and kind gestures towards Audrey. They have become close and caring brothers and sister quickly which is so nice! Have a great week! ❀ xxx

  3. Hi Ginger,
What a lovely Mother’s Day gift. I always receive a lovely note and beautiful flowers from my daughter who lives in Japan, but never ever or even once a Sasha doll. You are lucky and much blessed.

    • Hi Anne! Thank you for writing and it is so nice to hear from you! I am indeed very blessed and adding two Sasha dolls was truly a wonderful way to celebrate Mother’s Day. πŸ™‚

I did not know your daughter lives in Japan. That is a very special country with a rich heritage, I hope you are able to visit her and stay in touch often. ❀ xxx

  4. TWO 1968 Sasha Doll gifts! Must be THE Mother’s Day gift of all time and one, I’m sure that you’ll never forget.
My tiny eyed Gregor shorts came withn the original long socks (although full of darned moth holes) which immediately attracted me so I’m now wondering if Morris’ socks here are oringinal or since added?
I too have a similar Dollydoodle outfit only their joggers are in the green and the T shirt grey.
Love your tradition of everyone being given a pet dog on their arrival at Sasha Shangrila.
Thanks for the week’s good wishes!

    • Hi Kendal! Thank you for the lovely comments. I do apologize for my delayed response. I traveled to California for a mini vacation and I am just now able to respond.

I understand that Morris’s long woolen socks are original. I was so happy to learn that and especially since the shorts boy’s sock are often missing. I love the Dollydoodle outfit and am happy to finally have one!

Having a puppy really helps the kids feel welcome. :). I hope you had a great time at the Sasha Celebration! πŸ™‚ xxx

  5. Hello Ms. Ginger,

Just letting you know that I have been reading your blog for a while and have really enjoyed it. All your Sasha children are so lovely and sweet and each one is a beauty (or a handsome rogue, depending on their gender). I just officially joined your blog and am looking forward to new posts.

Congratulations on your handsome new boy and lovely new girl. I especially love the pictures of Audrey. She is so pretty and reminds me very much of my own precious and lovely Burnett Sasha girl.

I also love your course dolls. Each one is a beauty. Do you have names for them at all? Congratulations on your happy Mother’s Day gifts, and keep enjoying that incredible Sasha family of yours.

    • Hi Elizabeth! Thank you for your very kind writing and I am so glad you are enjoying the blog. My response has been delayed because I have been out of town. So I wanted to write my responses first and will post again soon.

Some of my course dolls have names and I need to name a few of them still. I love their pretty faces and outfits too. They are a very special addition to the Sasha family. πŸ™‚

Thank you too for the kind congratulatory wishes for Moher’s Day and I hope you will continue to enjoy the blog and will write again! πŸ™‚ xxx

  6. The three 68 kids look like reuniting after so many years makes them happy. Your new brunette is lovely Ginger πŸ™‚
