Yesterday was the first warm, sunny day since last year and so I took Joy, Chloe, Kendal, and Tilly outside to take photos. I dressed them in pretty, bright outfits and charged my camera. The photos did not turn out as well as I had hoped. They do show some interesting shadows and so I will post them.
I photograped each girl standing on our garden angel plant stand with the thought that they would look pretty with the purple pansies that I had not yet planted in the garden. I still have much weeding to do and would rather play with Sashas of course. Afterwards, I viewed these photos and it was really unexpected that the girls looked like they have wings! So I am sharing their angelic images.
I do not think the photos captured the beauty of the outfits and so I took additional photos indoors hoping to show them better. I will combine them and cross my fingers that you will enjoy the variety. This is a rather long post. 🙂
First up is Joy wearing a lovely Vintage Sasha outfit by Sarah. She is standing next to our watering can and a wild violet has crept in among the mulch.
A side view of Joy. She has very thick hair. I just braided it for the first time. Joy is an early English production girl from 1966.
A Joy close up photo.
Joy wearing Sarah’s lovely outfit. I love Sarah’s leather shoes that always fit perfectly 🙂
So often we do not see the very special touches given to our Sasha’s under garments. This lovely trimming on the pants just had to be shown–thank you Sarah 🙂
A last close up photo of Joy. I love how the blue color in the dress enhances her big blue eyes 🙂
Next is the beautiful Kendal wearing part of a Carol Mitchell studio doll outfit creation. Kendal is a 1967 English production NP.
This pinny makes a wonderful sun dress for Kendal to wear on warm days. Her sandals are made by Jean Jensen.
A close up photo of Kendal and you can see her beautiful eyes 🙂
A sun-kissed photo of the lovely Kendal.
An indoor photo of Kendal and you can see that Mom left her undershirt on her for warmth 😉
I could not pass up the chance to show you the beautiful pants and the inset detailing. My sewing skills are very limited and I so admire the skilled and creative abilities demonstrated by our talented Sasha designers.
A last close up photo of Kendal.
A different angle. The colors in the dress are very bright and beautiful. The sun affected my photo and does not show the colors well.
So, I took indoor photos of Chloe in this lovely dress.
Her pants are a neat lime green color with dots and it is perfect with her dress.
A close up of sweet Chloe. She is a 1966 English production NP and my first brunette. Her eyes are a very deep blue.
I topped off Chloe’s dress with the pinny to show her wearing Carol’s studio dress completely. I changed her shoes to the JJ sandals because the checked slippers were not quite the right color for the pinny.
Carol’s maker’s ribbon, tag, or label 🙂
A photo of Chloe and Kendal together 🙂
Tilly posing outdoors by the watering can. She is wearing a star dress made by Lorraine Tyler. I just love this dress on Tilly. Her lime green leather shoes were made by Jean Jensen.
A bit of a breeze and Tilly standing strong.
A sun-kissed photo of Tilly 🙂
An indoor photo of Tilly’s star dress.
A close up of the lovely Tilly. Tilly is an English production NP made in late 1966 to early 1967. She is extremely photogenic 😉
My angels shown here all in a row wearing lovely outfits by Sarah, Carol, and Lorraine.
Have a great week everyone and thank you for visiting Sasha Shangri-La 🙂 xxxx
